Hunter1 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Really nice MOC. Cool design for legs and torso. Colour scheme is good too. What else? I like it -H.unter Quote
bacem Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 as usual, great moc! fun fact: batu is an indonesian languange of stone (dunno if this is actually intended or not) Quote
SmoothJazz Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 as usual, great moc! fun fact: batu is an indonesian languange of stone (dunno if this is actually intended or not) That's actually how I got the name. I took the word "stone" and translated into Malay. Anyway, thanks, everyone. :) Quote
Agent Fusion Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 It looks more like a Toa of Light or Gold than Stone, but still a briliant design. Quote
Timeline15 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 That torso is amazing, good job filling out the legs too. My one issue is the colour scheme. If it were me, I would get rid of at least 2 colours. (probably the red and the silver, or potentially the sand brown). The wrists also look like they can't move much. Other than that, stellar moc! Quote
legoknight00 Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 i completely agree with timeline. though, it is certainly an interesting choice of colors. Quote
ShadowWolfHount Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) The color scheme would be good if the gold was change into red or take out both gold and red because those color don't fit together. The arm is bad because of how it connected, it would be better if you used something else for the arm. Now the thing I like about the MOC is the legs are good like that you used the HF armor for the leg of the lower leg and the Metru foot for the front. The body look great but the color need some work on in my opinion, the body do look more of a female body also can't tell want on the back (I would like to see a back picture) and like that you used the Tahu Star mask. Seltz Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Brilliant! The use of the golden Hau makes it see like its part of some band of exotic Toa from a far-off continent. In addition, the building techniques are astounding. Quote
thefriendski Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I like this dude. There are very few things I enjoy more than seeing a builder use so many colors on a moc, but still make it flow well. Now I've never been a fan of the "mocpages" build style, I've always thought it was overcluttered and lacked dynamics, but you somehow make it work here. This guy's design is very compact, which I like, but it's almost too compact. Overall, he has a bit of a nondescript look, and though his colors are cool, he doesn't leave much of an impact, and besides the fact that the moc was very well made, it doesn't seem exactly "original." Seltz Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Late reply, but I saw this on BZP and made me want to say one more thing. As a toa of stone, it's a very nice color combination. Unorthodox, but not too strange to make it look wierd. However, what if he were a toa of something we haven't seen before? With those colors, you can use just about anything. Like, personally, I can see him as a "Toa of Perambulation". Nomadic, and has powers dipping into every element. However, he would be a specialist, master of none. He would be one of a small team of toa that would have to cover an incredibly large island or something. It's 5:56AM right now, and I'm an AK gal so this ain't my hour. I just love brainstorming headcanon. :3 Quote
DuckBricks Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Lego needs to see this... This makes gold and silver work well together! Quote
