legolijntje Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Well, it's a long time since I last created a topic for a moc of me... I do build, I just never post anything But, this time, I do post something. And, as the title says, it's still a WIP. I don't even know if I will enter with this model or not, but it looks quite fun anyway So, first a little backstory. I didn't know what to build for the contest and all the main vehicles were already taken, like excavator, dump truck, supercar etc. (not that that's a bad thing, but I wanted something original). Then, I saw an old moc of me standing on my desk, a red Piaggio Ape and I thought, why not make a mini of my own moc? So, here's the original moc: And, here's the mini version: Personally, I don't really like it, both the looks and the functions. The model has only 1 function (except for openening doors and trunk) and that's the steering, but the only way to steer is to actually move the wheel itself An earlier version also had suspension on the back and the idea was to make a Piaggio-Ape van of it (so the suspension would fit). It worked quite well, but it looked even worse than this one. I also have totally no idea of the part count. I also don't know if the model is even allowed in the contest, because it has only 0.5 function (not counting the doors and the trunk), but it was fun to build But, yea, that's what I'm busy with Quote
Zerobricks Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Try oi improve, maybe add suspension or tiltable bed, you can do quite a lot with 200 parts trust me. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Well first of all I would like to congratulate you on actually building something. I guess you still have to master the art of adding functions, but you just about got the shape of the Ape right even if the right hand door is missing... Try to improve it more, maybe add suspension or tiltable bed. That is going to be to technical for him. Quote
legolijntje Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 Well first of all I would like to congratulate you on actually building something. Well, you actually need to congratulate me with actually posting something Try oi improve, maybe add suspension or tiltable bed, you can do quite a lot with 200 parts trust me. As I said in the first post, I had an earlier version with suspension, but I didn't liked the looks of that one. But I'm probably going to build something else. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014  Alasdair. The start is their Legolijntje and think that you are at the right way Quote

As I said in the first post, I had an earlier version with suspension, but I didn't liked the looks of that one. Why am I not surprised. Quote
