As a collector of historical/fantasy/mythological minifigs, I'm really liking this series. The wizard is my favourite, but the Hun warrior, Athena, genie, princess, swashbuckler, Wednesday Addams and jester are close seconds. The only thing I would change is the colour of the jester's belt. It looks like it's dark orange which is too bold for the rest of the minifig.

A few other minifigs from this series are worth getting for their parts: Katniss's head and the lifeguard's torso for example.

Good to see a return to the regular CMF line. I will definitely be picking up a wizard and a jester. Probably the pizza guy and maybe the princess. I kind of like the genie but it bugs me that she doesn't match the genie from series 6. Would have been nice to see some more new accessories. I've often bought CMFs just for their awesome accessories.

I think it's an average series. Rehashings are inevitable, but it doesn't come out as good as TLM series. I personally think the very first leaked group are the true outstanding ones. It's alittle letdown not to see six ladies again like what TLM was, but they're still okay.

Rock Star - based on the fact that there have been many other cool hairstyles in Rock Band, I'd say I'm not willing to see a reused Rock Girl hair in this case. Obviously the cost is for the new guitar so there won't be another hairpiece.

Hun Warrior - the best one among the bunch that haven't been leaked IMO.

Lifeguard - an okay figure, but not better than the two from series 2. If TLG want to make him outstanding, I hope that his Club Max hairstyle get some special colors and streaks.

Fairytale Princess - I think it's much more like a contribution to old classic Castle figures, not a more improved and sophisticated princess like those Disney characters.

Genie Girl - she looks okay but I hope she to be more like a counterpart to the Genie Guy who didn't look like human. Is her harstyle as same as the Dino Tracker?

Jester - it's all what we predicted. And not sure if poker cards are appealing enough to FOLs.

Pizza Guy - this kind of figure could have been put in previous City sets that came with Pizza restaurants. Of coure he is here for what he can give us (at hand).

The Tracker's hairpiece looks very similar from the front to the bun, but it has a long ponytail, and if you look at the picture closely, you'll see that the hairlines are slightly different, indicating that the Genie Girl has the Sumo bun. I would have preferred the Dino Tracker hair, though, since it's more like I Dream of Jeannie.

Points (max. 10)

Gamer Guy: 5 - better if it had a short-sleeve shirt and a yellow arm.

Prospector: 3 - nothing of interest

Rockstar: 9 - nice addition to the band

Swashbuckler: 4 - Nice torso nevertheless

Jester: 5 - another one? Weird colours.

Princess: 5 - no need for it

Spooky Girl: 8 - unexpected well made

Pizza Delivery Guy: 5 - good only for both tiles

Hun Warrior: 4 - my personal piece of uninterest

Genie Girl: 6 - why?

Male Lifeguard: 5 - again why? Nice red binoculars and head

Wizard: 4 - I have no clue what makes this fig so extraordinary for most of us in this topic.

Dino Tracker: 4 - money saved.

Space Miner: ? - I have to see a close-up to evaluate this fig.

Athena: 7 - good, but I am still considering not to buy it.

Pig Suit Guy: 9 - My favourite! 10 if it had a new accessory instead of the apple. I love pigmen (playing Minecraft...)

Overall, a decent series, but certainly not even close to being the best series ever.

Absolutely seconded.

Nice to have all the pictures now. I am really pleased the 'normal' series are back. Hopefully the releases won't be disrupted again by licensed series, etc.

I think the best figures from this set are the Wizard and Battle Goddess. However, as a Paradisa fan it's nice to have the lifeguard. I always think the animal costumes are good and the spooky girl is a neat addition to the 'Horror' figures. Still hope we'll get a normal minifig in a black outfit with skeleton print on though.

There are too many faces I dislike in this series - I really dislike open mouths so the prospector, rock star, swashbuckler, jester, princess, pizza guy and dino hunter's heads are of no use to me.

I'm also disappointed about the lack of new accessories so hopefully the next series will make up for this.

I think there is something there for everyone though, which is what CMFs are all about.

Does anyone know if this series will be available in The Netherlands? I love the Hun Warrior, and I don't want to buy it online.

Is it just me, or does the Hun Warrior have Cragger's cape? I spy the tail end of a cape just under his shield, and something around his neck...

Thanks, can't wait to pick up some Huns, they are just amazing! The face is a bit weird, but that's what you get if you make Huns, I suppose. Shield is awesome, the whole fig is just awesome.

I figure I may as well weigh in and see which figs are on my to-buy list and which ones to avoid:

Gamer: I like him as a citizen, and the accessory is simple and effective, but he's a little lower on the priority list. More of a "Nice to have" figure.

Prospector: Good for parts I suppose, but not someone I'd go out of my way for. His hat should be easy to feel for though.

Rock star: A must have. My only gripe is his hair, but the new guitar mold is perfect. Definite yes!

Swashbuckler: He has some good parts and his torso print is beautiful. No real use for him as is, but parts are a yes.

Jester: Another definite yes. He could work nicely as a Joker henchman along with the other CMF clowns. His card seals the deal.

Princess: Good figure, but again, not someone I'd exclusively look for. Still nice to have.

Spooky Girl: I love this figure. I can already picture some "The Ring" styled MOCs built around her. Definite yes!

Pizza guy: Simple, but I kind of like him. The new pizza piece makes him a must.

Hun: One word: Magnificent! Must have.

Genie Girl: Slightly disappointed here. I was expecting more of an "I Dream of Jeanie" kind of genie, but a simple leg swap will do the trick.

Male lifeguard: I think he'll work nicely. You can never have too many bare chest torsos, and his face is great.

Wizard: Another must have. His hat is a definite improvement over the previous witch hat and he's just awesome.

Dino tracker: Another nice to have figure. I like her Hunger Games influence, but I'm not extremely impressed here.

Space miner: Decent figure, but the idea is kind of meh.

Athena: Pretty awesome, but I have no use for her, unfortunately, but her parts are great.

Pig suit guy: No real use for him, but he's cute.

Here's my thought on the minifigures:

Pig suit guy: I like him, he has a useful new face, but that's it.

Battle Goddess: Great minifigure, very useful for some good pieces.

Space Miner: Love his helmet, and the drill gun, and overall great minifigure, I'm getting him

Dino Tracker: Very cheap way to get hawkeye's bow and a very useful hair piece. She has sleeve printing and side leg printing. Cool minifigure

Wizard: Awesome hat, the blue looks great for a wizard, and he has a dark brown small wand which is new. What an amazing minifigure.

Lifeguard Dude: He has a hairpiece I've never got before, and he has a useful torso piece. I especially like the red binoculars.

Genie Girl: Much better than i thought she was going to look. She looks really cool.

Hun warrior: Love his head piece, the horns are a nice touch! Very useful for army building. I'm getting him.

Pizza guy: I was right about a new pizza print! He has a nice printed hat and useful for city.

Spooky Girl: She's not the best minifigure, but i like the dark bear.

Fairytale Princess: Like the purple color on her, and the frog is a funny accessory.

Jester: He has the same yellow-orange as the hazmat guy which is cool! I love the cards and he is one of my favorite of the series. I'm getting him.

Swashbuckler: Great new color hat, cool torso print and the musketeer sword in gold is awesome.

Rock Star: I was totally right about him having glasses and a leather jacket! I like the new guitar piece. I'm getting him.

Prospector: Cool new hat piece and overall a great minifigure.

Video game guy: Not my favorite, but i like the hairpiece and the multi-colored sleeves. I'm getting him.

Overall i like this series, it's one of the better series lego has made.

The rocker, to me says Joan Jett. Edit: on closer look, a hairy chest says no.

Now now. Joan Jett's chest really isn't that hairy. Especially since she started waxing.

Wow some good ones in here

Gamer - I'm mixed on him. At first glance he just seems kind of lazy and recycled. But the more I look the more I like the details. Plus he is nice and generic for City stuff. The headphones confuse me a bit however? He is kind of mixing and matching gamer time periods oddly.

Prospector - useful parts. Not much you can do with him MOC wise. One goes a long way. Although his face makes for a useful village idiot in any setting from historical to redneck to space.

Rocker - kind of feels like a recolor retread. But still some useful parts. Great getting that hair more widespread in black.

Swashbuckler - ummm? How to put this delicately. Is he a pirate or a refugee from a pride parade? The Swishbuckler? He brings to mind some horrific caricature of a gay pirate. Dude! Button your shirt! Nobody wants to see that!

Harlequin - fantastic fig. Color choices make it a little odd in most castle factions but great prints.

Princess - nice Castle fig. I really want to see the back of that headpiece, and would love to see it in more colors.

Spooky Girl - one of my absolute favorite figs. Just perfection.

Pizza Guy - nicely generic yet useful. Great parts. Looking at him makes me hungry.

Hun - shear awesome army builder! I'll take a dozen please. So many uses. Hogun's the Grim from Thor comes immediately to mind. Hmmm might be able to MOC up the other two as well.

Genie - what a great figure. While pink would have been perfection, she looks great in blue. Plus a nicely expressive face and a great useful torso.

Male Lifeguard - BORING! Haven't we been here before? Repeatedly? Just yet another shirtless surfer dude.

Wizard - possibly the best fig of the set. Everything is gorgeous.

Katnis I mean Dino Girl - a really cool fig, but has some very specific limited uses. As others pointed out, a great heroine for an Alien MOC.

Space Miner - I know others aren't crazy about him. But he has so many great space parts. The armor. The helmet. The drill. The printing. I want as many as I can get.

Battle Goddess - see Hun. Awesome Army Builder. I want to see a legion of these facing off in MOCs.

Pig Dude - adorable but kind of weird. A little goes a long way. No real use for him besides advertising a Barbecue joint. This is one of those "just one is enough" type figs.

Perhaps he's a Let's Player, i.e., people who record their gameplay footage with commentary and put it online.

Princess - nice Castle fig. I really want to see the back of that headpiece, and would love to see it in more colors.

I'm sure it's a long braid down the back, but I hope LEGO comes up with a strong Castle theme in the future and uses the piece.

This is a really fantastic series if you are a fantasy or historica fan like me. The best since series 7 IMHO. The big question now is: what will be the ratios?

I'm hoping each figure will be 3 per box. I'll be disappointed if the Greek goddess is only 2. It'd be nice if the Hun will be in army builder quantities 5 or more per box. Any guesses? Kinda hard to tell with this series.

Posted (edited)

I'm guessing that since the ratios were skewed by the Simpsons series, we'll have the same statistics as that. Battle Goddess, Wizard, and Genie Girl/Hun Warrior will probably be the lowest number per box. Lifeguard, Gamer, and Swashbuckler/Pizza Guy will probably be the most common.
