rupi Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Dr. Crow, a mad cientist and a villain, tries to compensate his shortness (due to a problem in childhood), with is crazy and evil inventions. He made some mechanical crows to spread fear, they have a bacteria in their beaks that mutate flowers and make them produce poison perfume. He moves around using his "Crowalker". Some more inventions to come... (sorry for any mistakes in english) Thank's for looking and coments. Brickshelf folder Quote

As for the fig: Great premise, executed very well! The wrench-cane looks great Quote
JoeMI6 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 So simple, yet so effective. It looks really good, I especially like the Crow walker's design. Quote
rupi Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 Thank's for your comments *sweet* When I did the Dr Crow minifig I knew the idea of the robot arm wasn't original, but I didn't knew it had a specific author, and it even has a tutorial online. Well, go see it I think I have to give credits to this guy: Darth Zamma Quote
rupi Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 And Dr.Crow's latest creation: the Zombie Scarecrow It looks like a normal scarecrow during the day, but at night it becames "alive" and wanders trough the fields spreading terror and contaminating other scarecrows. Soon there will be hundreds of them, an army under the orders of Dr. Crow... Quote

zero1312 Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Great work, rupi. *y* I think he would look even better with a silver robot arm. ;-) Quote

rupi Posted May 17, 2007 Author Posted May 17, 2007 And Dr. Crow just finished his "Crowmobile", it's an all-terrain vehicle and it can be used with the "Crowalker" attached. The Crowmobile has also a storage area where the mechanical crows go. Dr Crow can open the gate with the strengh of his mechanical arm to release the animals for the attack. the updated folder Thanks for looking *sweet* Quote
Cabby Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Wow absolutely cool ! Shall we expect a Crowplane ? :-) Figures and vehicles are really neat. Just one note on the Crowmobile, isn't Dr. Crow a bit high up there ? Maybe is there a way you can put him lower (between those wings) with a similar (and otherwise very nice) opening system. Quote

Thanks *sweet* I want to expand this idea building more stuff (Crow-wing would be good). but I don't have many more good black pieces to continue so...I'll see what comes up. Dr. Crow really is a bit high, but that's to pretend that he is flying up in the air, afterall he is a crow. Quote
Asuka Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Great! A dark gothic monotrack supervillain vehicle of poor evil. Ingenious! *wub* Quote
john cleese Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 As soon as i saw the crow mobile i fell in love with it. It reminds me so much of my favorite theme time twisters. I was going to be the first to make a timetwisters moc is what i thought but after seeing this id say you beat me to it :'-(. I also disagree with cabby's statement about dr.crow being up too high, it really adds to the surrealism of this wacky moc. Quote

I'm glad you liked it *sweet* It's not usual to see someone who likes Timecruisers/twisters theme...but my Crowmobile has nothing to do with that theme, besides the wackyness and nonsense ideia of it. Now that you talk about it I realize I have used in this moc some pieces of the 6496. Anyway, you should do your Timecruisers moc, I would like to see it... Quote
john cleese Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Well it's been a year since i promised it. You see at first i thought i would just make it just like the system theme but i decided i should brush up on my mocing skill's so i could add some heavy snot work, make it look more professional. after the two crimson skies planes i recently made and due to my lethargy have not yet taken photos of, i really think im up to the task. Especially with my birthday coming up, i'll be able to by another mass of bulk lego from BL. And when i said "you beat me to it" I never meant I wouldnt try to make a timetwisters moc, i just meant that since this is the first moc to have that unique feel, i cant really say i was the first to build in this style. rupi Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 How did Dr Crow come to get his robotic arm? That's a good question. He made and implant the mechanical arm to increase his strengh, but what happened to the original arm?... I have to think about it.... Quote
