This would be a C-model only set - i.e. whatever you come up with will be better than the A+B ones

Well, then I'm curious to see what you will come up with ;-)

I agree that the rear axle should have been a live one, but hey, now we got 4 more of those rare and expensive wishbone arms.

Those rare and expensive wishbone arms are just 7L lift arms...

No, rear wishbones arms are 6L thin liftarms

I just motorized my 42029 with 2 PF L motors, a Servo and a proper V8 engine. The problem is, the L motors are working really hard to move it, even with RWD and the default small wheels. Recharging the batteries now, I wonder if it will help. I'd rather not start modding the whole drivetrain.

I usually don't apply any stickers on my models, but on this white Truck, I would do an exeption. It lacks something without. Custom made stickers.

Wheel Covers .. is a place for improvement i would say

So, I put two PF L motors in it, a single Servo, a proper V8 and swapped wheels for larger ones. It works fine, but it seriously lacks the torque. And because of how the drivetrain is made, I'm having a hard time finding space to increase gear reduction without a major redesign.

Ditch the rear diff and put a 12:36 tooth gear combo :sweet:

I am personally more looking forward to this model then the new 8265....yeah, its just a bigger RC version of the awesome 8265. This red pick up looks cool and the part count to price ratio is very decent!

Also there will be a fresh supply of red panels if you intend to try and rebuld 8258 from scratch, no way am i paying €300-400 for that model, be cheaper to buy all the parts....and these fresh supply of red panels will be perfect for that.

Considering the limited PF functions i dont think i will pay another €35 to motorise it, its a lovely looking model and great parts set.

Hi all, I really like 42029.

So I decided to put together another, but without the use of some new parts from Lego. Also, I installed at once two XL motor in it.

later i'll try to build a 4x4 mod.
