kevkipo Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I thought he was under the impression that things bein present in the game indicated a minifig would be produced. As for the locations, that was kind of my point; that the games aren't necessarily don't necessarily tie in always. I meant the figures we where sure of Bain, Galadriel, Bolg, Alfrid etc... Quote
deskp Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I meant the figures we where sure of Bain, Galadriel, Bolg, Alfrid etc... concerning Galadriel, she will proapbly wear a new dress at dol guldur, but we should see her hair and face. armored elrond should be seen, as should the witch king. so thats the full small set worth of minifigs that should be seen in the game for sure. The more exiting thing will be to see if the show the soldier elves from prologue, cause we might get those in bo5a set! Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) This is what Beorn's bear form looks like in the game: http://lego.wikia.co...e:Beon_bear.png I think this makes a physical appearance of his much more likely since it's the same bear mold as before, just with different printing Edited March 29, 2014 by Lego-Freak Quote
deskp Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) I guess Beorn is a better inclution than an eagle or warg since those are available elsewhere.. But i wouldn't want printed beorn to take up the slot of another minifigure. They could have done a much better job on the print though, doesent look very accurate... http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131008103237/lotr/images/1/1c/Beorn_trailer_cameo.jpg Edited March 29, 2014 by deskp Quote

Yeah we will see the elves :D But i doubt we will see the Iron Hillers :I They are introduced in the third movie so... kevkipo Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) I was just thinking, What can we expect in the biggest set aside from Smaug, Thorin, and Bilbo What do you guys think? Will we get all the dwarves that went in Erebor? or a few? And wich parts will we get? i think at least 1 furnace, a gold pile, the Throne (with Arkenstone) and the dwarf mold What do you think? Edited March 29, 2014 by kevkipo Quote
deskp Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I dont think the dwarf mold or that statue will be in the set. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 @kevkipo: Good question Smaug won't consume that many parts (20 at best with the claws and everything) so the main build has to be quite substantial with over 800 parts Based on the rather vague LTF descriptions we don't really know what to expect, but I think you're suggestions are accurate even if it's probably not enough for the piece count. So here are my suggestions: - at least one forge (with a chain for Bombur and a switch for Bilbo to operate) - perhaps the mine karts? - some pillars for Smaug to knock over - the throne room - piles of gold - some random ruin parts - a wheelbarrow for Thorin - the room with the mummified dwarv... ok, scratch that one Quote

Knowing Lego they will add some random ruin parts. And about the figs? Will they add them all? wich figs would you like to see? So i just read a report back The other two (I think) sets were more of the village and one included Dain Ironfoot, the other the Bowman's Son amongst a number of other figs, That makes me think... can't we safely say Dain is in the Dale set? He talks about the "Bowman's son" and about Dain ironfoot so he mentions them both And about that "the village" we could safely call that Dale and Lake-Town Then we also have this about the Erebor set: It comes with Bilbo and a few others. We can safely say that LT Bilbo is in that set amongst "a few others" and those are off course the Dwarves I'm just searching for answers right now :P just puzzling the bits and pieces together Quote
Godless-Mimicry Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Well if we look at the other flagship sets, Helm's Deep had 8 figs, Pirate Ship Ambush had 9, Goblin King Battle had 6 and a big fig, and Dol Guldur had 6. I don't think it unreasonable to expect the bunch as that's 10 figs and a big fig, and it may explain why the price is so high rather than the chance of a big build. Quote

Yep! 10 would be reasonable Quote
kevkipo Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Are there any pictures of Bolg yet? Nope :( Quote
deskp Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 and it may explain why the price is so high rather than the chance of a big build. The high price is because if the insane amount of new molded parts for smaug. Jaw, head, neck, tail, body, leg, leg wing, wing Quote

deskp Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Are they confirmed? No, but you should expect him to look like the video game. The fact that hes featured on the cover art would make it really weird if he looked different in the lego set ;) __ Beor beorn in the game is infact a new "mold" the Head is new, they have addded abit of that mowhawk. oh and the screenshots are from the facebook page of the game. I imagine he will be scaled up in the game. Quote

deskp Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 The Dwarves and Orcs are a definite must have, I can live without the Eagles, Elves, and Laketown men. I think the Elves are must haves aswell. Eagles we already got, already have Beorn figure aswell as lego bears, laketown men can be made from other lego due to them not being uniform. And then we end up with a complete bo5a! Quote
Galaxy Explorer Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I was hoping by now we'd have news about a Blu-Ray exclusive minifig, but maybe they're not doing one this year. It's less than two weeks away, so I don't have high hopes. Quote
