Faefrost Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 It is interesting to see who people think would be 'instantly recognisable' I wouldn't be able to pick Franklin, Washington or FDR out of a line up of photos so I can't imagine that a minifig of them would be any more recognisable, however I can see Henry VIII & Queen Victoria both being recognisable as they had very distinctive styles that are well documented. I guess the issue with something like this is, what is recognisable to one person may not be to someone else. D George Washington is fairly close to what we got with the Revolutionary soldier. The non smile. The powdered wig and the blue uniform. I bet we might see a Ben Franklin. He has a very distinctive look, and he would be a good reuse of the Shakespeare headpiece. Thomas Jefferson would not be widely recognizable, which is a shame. It would be a great excuse to get the Will Turner / Josamee Gibbs hair piece as a red head. Yes, but we're talking about who would be recognizable. Buddha is an interesting one. A friar would be cool (I would also like the protestant Pilgrims to the U.S.), but they are really generic, and there's already a thread for "missing" minifigures. Pilgrims are probably doable in a none religious way. They are remembered less for faith and more for Thanksgiving. Quote
jluck Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I'd like to see a few for my personal interests...how about an Adam and Eve?! (I know, I know, lego doesn't do religious figures, this is just a personal wish). Funny thing is, lego has actually touched on many historic topics (royal, cowboys, science, space) so a lot of generic figures can represent historic figures. Quote
