peterab Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 I'm getting a bit stuck on the area between the curves, suggestions please? I agree with Ashi Valkoinen, it is a lot easier to keep all your scenery on the grid and just use a layer of tiles between where your curved track road bed edge meets the scenery. Quote
UrbanErwin Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Okay I have gotten enough feedback to start again, thanks! Quote
UrbanErwin Posted September 7, 2013 Author Posted September 7, 2013 The results are here: Fixed It by UrbanErwin(EPJL), on Flickr I'm still open to critism. Quote
peterab Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 This looks really good now, I particularly like the retaining way supporting the outer track, it's a nice little detail. Quote
JopieK Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 very very nice, but... before LEGOWorld your bank account will be empty ;) I'm also hoping to do some ballasting for LEGOWorld, mainly to hide cables etc. Quote
UrbanErwin Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 This looks really good now, I particularly like the retaining way supporting the outer track, it's a nice little detail. Thanks very very nice, but... before LEGOWorld your bank account will be empty ;) I'm also hoping to do some ballasting for LEGOWorld, mainly to hide cables etc. I think so, but so far 99% of the parts used came from my stock and the previous layout, but I'm starting to run low on certain parts (DBG 2X4 bricks and 2X2 LBG tiles) Quote
JopieK Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 So you will still be able to buy food, good to hear that :). Solutions like lugbulk get us a lot of certain parts, but still, to create the whole layout it costs a very lot of bricks (both in money and ABS ;)) Quote
UrbanErwin Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 Lugbulk is nice of course to get a lot of certain parts, but still, to create the whole layout it costs a very lot of bricks ;) I was indeed planning to participate in LUGbulk next year. (if I can find money.) Quote
UrbanErwin Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Almost done, 3 Baseplates to go. Still not sure what to do with the center area. Almost done by UrbanErwin(EPJL), on Flickr Almost done: Details by UrbanErwin(EPJL), on Flickr Quote
Phoxtane Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I'm thinking a pumpkin patch would fit quite nicely in that spot. Quote
splatman Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I'm thinking a pumpkin patch would fit quite nicely in that spot. Use basketballs for ripe pumpkins. Quote
ronenson Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Very nice indeed. A small pond could also work. Quote

JopieK Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 it is starting to become really nice indeed!!! hope you finish it in time! Quote
UrbanErwin Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 Thanks, It is as good as finished (really small details made on site) so I can start packing this weekend. Quote
Paddi Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I like your Track underground. Most people put the Tracks direct on the baseplate, but that looks realy unrealistics. And your Buffer looks Great! Quote

Ashi Valkoinen Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I've almost forgotten this topic, but fortunately I found it! Really nice job, unfortunately I had no way to see it. What is your plan to build next? Quote
