the second one. I guess that makes it an ox?

Depends if it have an udder or not  I guess it still have, so then it makes it a cow of the breed Texas Longhorn or a similar breed

When will we see pics of the new Arctic sets?

Maybe after the New York Toy Fair, middle of next month?

We got a picture a few pages back from a table at the London Toy Fair including them, but...

Isn't the German toy fair been known to reveal sets early?

Yes, it is, so I don't think you'll have to wait too long. :classic:

Am I the only one who knows all cows have horns? They are literally cut off and the wounds cauterised when they're calves to prevent issues as adults. I guess Lego doesn't go in for that sort of thing! (Also my partner grew up on a Kiwi dairy farm. We know cows.)

O photos! Lego huskies! They are cute - I thought they'd be white police dogs, but they look fuller, awesome! I also like the look of those ice parts. And the train station looks neat too - is that a new hair piece on the female minifig?

Did my post indicate that I did not know this? I said you have to look for the udder to determine the sex since the increase in size of horns just indicates a different breed of cattle.

I am pretty sure Lego did not make a new bull mould for this set, so then we have cows of three different breeds now :classic:

Actually there are cows and bulls that are borne without horns, not just have them removed

From Wikipedia:

“Polled livestock are livestock without horns in species which normally are horned. The term refers both to breeds or strains which are naturally polled through selective breeding and also to naturally horned animals which have been dehorned. Natural polling occurs in cattle, yaks, water buffalo and goats, and in these it affects both sexes equally; however in sheep, both sexes may be horned, both polled, or only the females polled.”

The Arctic base looks interesting, a lame copter but a cool looking tracked vehicle.....though it's a pity they are mining for crystals.....in these regions oil is usually what is drilled for.

Though I might pass on the polar stuff in favour of new trains.

Oh, you know me too well !

True that I wasn't going to buy any coast guard sets last year.....I brought one of each  , but this year that cool creator bike shop & cafe set plus the locomotives will get the cash instead....though knowing my best or worse judgement maybe not.

How come there's no news at all on the Arctic Icebreaker? That's the one I'm holding out for but it hasn't even been given a price like the rest of the line. The description sounds cool & the piece count is double that of the Coastguard ship from last year so am hoping it will be a decent ship filled with compartments (it mentions bunks, lab & helicopter so hopefully a helipad). I know its likely to be an exclusive but does that mean it won't this be at the toy fair?

Maybe the crystals are some sort of ice samples being used for research... :)

Or they power the LEGO HQ like they did in Clutch Powers ?

That helicarrier is cool looking and even more doggies.......don't twist my arm Lego !

That excited me a bit. I didn't like the last train station. My gut reaction is that I like this one.

At least it was a distinctive one. I like this station, it feels like a modern station design--- uh, but a small station where no staff stay and only one train stops every two hours. I'd like to see a bigger station in the next wave. I actually expect something like "Arctic" train station.

And the train station looks neat too - is that a new hair piece on the female minifig?

Sorry, another Elsa clone?
