Jim Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 That's a very original MOC. I love it! The different techniques (PF, pneumatics, etc) are nice! Is this model based on a real drill or is it more like a fantasy based drill, you would see in an action movie? Quote
Lakop Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 A great build! I like that you've thrown everything into it and not held back, then went one step further and made it remote control. H Quote
KirTech LAB Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 Thanks all!!! Is this model based on a real drill or is it more like a fantasy based drill, you would see in an action movie? I started with a study of real machines like this: This is not a scale model, but the main functions are realized. Quote
SNIPE Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 First time i've seen a technic tunneler so good job there only thing I don't like is the drill it looks odd. Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Wow that is impressive. Monster is a correct word not meant as an insult because that is surely something i wouldn't want to meet. Then again i don't hang around in places were tunnelling is being performed. I thought all tunnelling machines was those giant snakelike thing but apparently smaller versions exist. Quote
timslegos Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 That is one MASSIVE machine. Nice job keeping it all together and working! tim Quote
piterx Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 when i saw the topic's title i hoped for something like that and i haven't been disappointed! this is truly amazing :D Quote
paul_delahaye Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 I think you need to put it to use on a sheet of Polystyrene with a video for full effect It's a beast Quote
kabelbinder Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Cool and very big MOC! I like the combination of PF and pneumatics. Quote
D3K Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 It's not very pretty, but then again neither is the real thing! Overall I absolutely like it! You have realized all the functions and then some, and created something truly unique! Great work! Quote
Doc_Brown Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 What a huge beast! Great job! i would love to see a video of it attacking some florist foam. Quote
weavil Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Holy cow!!! That is a lot of lego. How long to build? I see it as the 2014 flagship model! Quote
Lost_In_Noise Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Excellent model. The video is also very good, despite the poor lightning conditions. It's truly an amazing machine you have constructed. I didn't notice until near the end that you had also included a compressor and pneumatics. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Foggy Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Amazing thing! How long did it take to buid it? Did you create an LDD file before or build it direct? Compliments again!!! Quote
KirTech LAB Posted August 10, 2013 Author Posted August 10, 2013 Thanks!!! It took me about two weeks. It was very interesting for me to construct really working feeder and to mount rotation part on the chassis! I didn't use LDD - only some outlines on paper. Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Thanks!!! It took me about two weeks. It was very interesting for me to construct really working feeder and to mount rotation part on the chassis! I didn't use LDD - only some outlines on paper. Only TWO weeks? Quote
