I am attempting to build the Island Of Sodor for BrisBricks 2013 in October.

This is my attempt at building the main station on Sodor. I need to give ii a name; any suggestions?

Maybe Knapford? At least that's the name of the big station on Sodor. Do you already have engines and rolling stock, or are you building on them?

Looks good so far, brick on!

Very impressive! Yes, if memory serves me correctly, I believe it was Knapford, although knowing now that everything these days has a wiki, I'm certain you could find out with a google search.

Knapford I think was the terminus of Thomas's branch line. The name of the big terminus at the end of the main line was Tidmouth.

This is a great idea. I love how you have used the monorail tracks.

I'm looking forward to seeing the full Island of Sodor later this year!

Thank you for the encouraging responses.

ScotNick, I have placed all of the Duplo Thomas trains on 9V motors so they will be moving around the 4 tracks on the display. I have made carriages 8 studs wide to be the same width as the Duplo trains.

One of our BrisBrick members has a lego built Thomas, Annie and Clarabelle so they will fit in well on the island.

The name of the big terminus at the end of the main line was Tidmouth.

This is firming as the name for the station.

I am now working on Ffarquhar station in the countryside.

I love how you have used the monorail tracks.

Securing the tracks firmly in the vertical position was the biggest challenge. There were many, many efforts at doing this before a solution was reached.

....what else is planned ? :classic:

Brick On !

A working circular windmill is keeping me awake at nights.

It may end up being a square windmill.

The harbour and lighthouse is almost finished; only the fine details on the coastline to go.
