Tariq j Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Hi, At home I have a box in which I keep most of my minifigures that I get in sets. When I get the set and build it I take a few pictures for reviews and then I take the figures out - why? Well I do like to preserve my figures so they don't get dusty and if I need them to make single pane funnies, mocs etc. Anyway my question is do you do the same or similar things? Tariq j Quote
Only Sinner Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I do the opposite. I like to display all my minifigs. When I don't have room for more than a few sets, the rest get cleaned and dismantled into zipper bags for storage. Quote
Alfadas Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I actually buy the sets for the minifigs , I like to display all the figs, because they give action to my shelves. The sets are nice to fill the background, and little things like catapults and vehicles off course stand beside my figs, but the castles and ships, aka the bigger stuff, stand further away. So, I don't put my figs in a box, some sets end up in a box, but only the sets i don't particularly like. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I only end up displaying some of the more prominent figures: my licensed collections (SW, HP, Super Heroes, LOTR/Hobbit, POTC) and then the CMF. All of my old figures are in a box together though. And then I have all of my castle figures separated into their own armies on display... But ultimately I buy sets for the figures, unless the set itself is also worthwhile, then I may buy it for both the set and the figures. But usually just the figures. Quote
jimmynick Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I used to buy sets mainly for figures, because I was 12 and wanted [star Wars character]. Now, I consider sets based on their content, and figures are an additional bonus. I also don't display my figures, but I do keep them in a box so I can look at them if I want to. Quote
dr_spock Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I have more figs than I can display. I keep them around in a box for vignettes. Quote
