Two waves and 16 Collectable Minifigures...wow. LEGO is really plugging this film for all it's worth. I hope that with this and Ninjago's return, this means less Chima next year.

So looking at the pictures posted on hothbricks flickr account it seems the western sets could be very nice! Maybe that is the reason we did not get the Cuusoo Modular Western Town...!?

Actually it really was Lone Ranger.

I am excited to get some unique fig pieces out of these to customize. :)

Virtruvius, some sort of weird sage guy. But yeah, he'll be a really interesting minifgure. When I saw the trailer, I was just thinking, "Wouldn't that be a cool set/minifig?" And now look!

More seriously, it'll probably require a new mold on top of something like Gandalf's staff.

Well, they ARE minifigures...maybe an ABC lollipop was all Virtruvius could find!

But if they can make a staff for him, there's no excuse for the lack of a proper Gandalf staff or Riddler cane.

White Kendo stick piece (not good with terminology) and a Trans-green Monster Fighters moonstone. Problem solved.

It would also be interesting if each set with Virtruvious would include an actual green lollipop.

My best guess would be a new mold to be honest, although the first of the three is likely as well.

I think this set looks great and I am excited to see the rest of the sets. Apparently we will get close up shots of this set at Comic Con, so I can't wait for that!

That's a really cool set. :thumbup: Great figs, awesome build...interested to see what this collectible minifig line turns out to be like. Glad to see they're really putting some effort into the movie.

I really think this set is an ethical revolution, the step to make the bad guys policemen can't have been taken lightly. I wonder if Lego was involved in the plot of the film, I guess they must have been. I have found it quite difficult to explain to my 3 year old son why the policemen are scary, it's a big jump from his understanding of Lego policemen.

As cool as that would be, Vitruvius has large white eyes and look nothing like Morgan Freeman. If you want a good head for Lucius however, Lando Calrissian from the new Desert Skiff set is quite a good match.

I would make it the other side of the head if I were the designer.

I guess some of them will be regular CMFs like the Panda and Lincoln but New-Again? 80s Spaceman and Johnny Thunder looked like years ago if they are going after movie design it would be the exact same fig except for some cracks in the plastic which they won´t include for obvious reasons.

I have a feeling the series will include all the basic characters as well. Just from a marketing standing, having Emmet on the front of the bag would really make it more attractive to a kid at the store who most likely has no appreciation for Johnny Thunder

Since the Emmet minifigure does not have white sparkles in his eyes (it always bothers me when people call them pupils; they don't resemble anything of the sort), I wouldn't really expect too many other figs to be heavily redesigned. Which is a mixed blessing IMO since many of those classic faces would be excellent if they weren't so incompatible with modern minifigures.

Anyway, the set revealed so far excites me. I would not be displeased if this ends up being a sort of a "potpourri theme" like Time Cruisers, which my twin brother suggested to me as a possibility.

I just hope there is a scene in the film featuring some minifig-scale animals so we can FINALLY have some.

It would be great to have Johnny Thunder back too but he deserves his own film!

I would also agree that the CMFs should not be characters already in the sets.

many of those classic faces would be excellent if they weren't so incompatible with modern minifigures.

It sounds like I'm not the only one who gets annoyed about the incompatibility issues!!

Those are Evil Robots in Police outfits , not police officers, they are probably the guys shooting at the police officer in the trailer.

I like having evil robots. I don't care if they are the police or imitating police. Those tactical vests are sweet. As far as the whites in the eyes, I like how they look, but hate the incompatibility. Some aren't as noticeable though thankfully.
