Hey all, I have a question about the x1623cx1 Receiver Unit: how much granularity is there in the output for the drive motor and the steering mechanism? Is it just on/off and left/right or can you can actually make small adjustments?

I tried looking on Youtube but all of the videos are just people doing donuts and not very helpful.

TiA.

EDIT: Sorry if this is the wrong section; I just noticed there is "Racers" under the Special Themes forum.

There are 3 speeds in each directios, and 3 angles of steering in each direction

Thanks for your reply; is that 3 speeds/angles including stop/neutral?

ie stop > slow > medium > fast or just stop > low > high

ie stop > slow > medium > fast or just stop > low > high

that is stop > slow > medium > fast. For steering/turning there is center and then 3 increments left and right, so a total of 7 different positions, the furthest position is 45 degrees from center. :D

I have also question to everyone who has this RC unit.

Is it normal, that servo is slipping with "crack...crack...crack" sound when you hold servo output by hand?

Zblj, how you made that your HUGE Benz 6x6 Amg steered by RC unit's Servo? It is heavy and, servo's output rotates only 45 degres - it is not enough:(

Yes, it is. It also happens when it reaches the maximum rotation sometimes.

Do not forget the motors connected to the second attack (the gray one): in those if I am not mistaken there is only one speed, after I try to look for safety.

Are you sure he is not using third motor output to power additional M-motor?

Ok, if he use it, how he contol gearbox and difflocks? With additional PF?

In my opinion he used gears connected to the servo motor to increase the number of final revolutions.

I've tried to increase gear rations to achieve necessary angles... Bad idea, cause you'll have to use 20:12 and 20:12 (for two times) to achieve the turn angle of the final axle ~ 180 degrees, rc - servo is not too much strong to turn it (this works only "in the air" with non loaded model)

Better to use additional grey output channel & M motor.

Output of the RC unit moves a switch. That switch is powered by drive motors and controls an M mmotor which steers.

How did I not think of that? Yet it is the same system used by me pearls lights of my first Tatra Trucks xD
