For those of us with the bank and the botanical garden, this will make the 3rd white building with sand green windows in our towns.

Can't help but wonder if all the sand green were sand blue instead, that might've been a better choice. And would've been a more subtle, more realistic look.

Is Natural History Museum going to be retired by end of this month? If so, I see that it’s on “Backorder” status.

It means this set is out of stock, but will be resupplied by the factory later on. The museum is not set for retirement until next year I think.

Good spot! I have the original Diagon Alley and was tempted to sell those pieces, so this helps determine that I will in fact keep it and not go through the hassle. I also got a used (good quality) GG recently for $300. I wonder how much the prices for it will drop now.

My experience of the reselling market is limited. I noticed that it took some time for similar rare parts to drop in price on Bricklink (I'm thinking the dark blue pillars from CC that came back into production last year).

Meanwhile I didn't wait and ordered off-brand versions of those sand green parts last year. Good quality, but slightly off-color. I'll place an order on PAB once they're available to have the genuine article.

Of course i know what “backorder” means but I mistakenly thought the museum was scheduled to be retired by end of this month.

As soon as I saw that the museum is on the “Backorder” status, I thought it was odd that they would retire it soon but it’s on Backorder.  I guess i got myself confused.

I understand the confusion. Iirc both BH and JC were on backorder at some point during this past week too, but they're definitely going out of production at the end of the month.

Yeah, both Boutiuqe Hotel and Jazz Club are out of stock here in the US too.  I never saw that before before their scheduled EOL (end of life) that early.

It's apparently an official image. I trust r/Legoleak where the leaks are double-checked before being posted. It's also just way too well detailled to be a fake.

4002025 certainly is original in the way the double 16x32 baseplates are used. But the building techniques used in that leaked image of 11371 are more complex.

Looks great and eagerly awaiting more pictures. Tough to top the Tudor Corner but this one gives off British shop vibes to me, which is not a bad thing.

With the pigeons & rat I thought it was NY.

I like it a lot.

Weirdly negative reaction over on Reddit, a lot of haters for reasons they've explained but I just can't see as bad things.

It’s the same on instagram. A lot of criticisms of it looking like a Creator set despite having none of the characteristics of being a Creator set. No open back & not even remotely the same size. One person said on numerous accounts that it looks like something from Rebrickable, and it seemed like an insult.

love that we're getting a new pigeon color for this set (I missed buying some grey ones in PAB, they're out of stock in Europe for now). I also just noticed something that people who may want to part out GG will be happy about. They're bringing back the modified 1x2 brick with groove in sand green. A few other parts of older modulars in rare colors have been showing up again lately too.

Looking at the windows they’re inset. So unless they have jumper plates on the inside floating or on 1x2’s that piece could be that 2x2 brick with grooves. Me & buddy looked over that area yesterday once he spotted the part. He’s hoping it’s the 1x2 for sure.

Agreed, and would go well with the dark blue roof.

However, they may be thinking about placing it next to the TC light blue haberdasher and wanting to avoid two sets of blue next to each other. Although the base of the TB pub is also a large green colour block, but it's dark green so maybe different enough.

Yes, that's a great suggestion. I was thinking what would be a good replacement for the sand green, and sand blue is a great idea.

I saw someone on reddit notice this, and I got excited. Unfortunately, it could easily be part 90258, which is the modified 2x2 brick with channels and axle groove in sand green.

I saw someone raise this point on Reddit too and it made me curious. Do you mean that from like a realistic perspective, or that you just prefer easily identifiable buildings in Lego? Because where I'm from the buildings are old and rebuilt or repurposed multiple times. The only way to identify the type of shop is by signs or window displays and on top it's apartments or office space, usually pretty anonymous.

I think that might actually be part of why I like this, hotels and museums are easy identifiable but the rest of city centres usually aren't.

I really like your take, but I was genuinely asking what the stores (?) are meant to be. One is a music store I think but the other?

I think it's legit. I'm pretty sure we've all searched frequently these last few months for the new modular, and the same images, some previous modulars, some random mocs out there, always pop up in google images.

I have NEVER seen the leaked image ANYWHERE. Does that make it legit?  No. But it sure seems like it, plus it features a new pigeon color and a tulip color I've never seen (magenta). And the set looks real. Time will tell.

Hehehehehe yea i am looking for rumors/pictures a few months now

Trying to find things that looks not normal, the light pole/lantern is different the the ones we have now, it seems open at the bottum half?

An the window in the midle of the upper floor on the right building seems strange? Or is it a window of the other side you see in the glass?

And the upper floor of the left building seems to low? But round tower next to it is high?

Damn we need more pictures :pir-sing:

Not sure how saying it looks like something from Rebrickable is a bad thing...some of the best modular MOCs I have seen are from Rebrickable....off the top of my head: school, revamped Market Street, corner barber shop, Italian Street Corner, parks etc. Great modular type buildings on there that are filled with a great aesthetic and building techniques.

I own all but 3 modulars.

I love the modular series, but honestly, some of the MOCs out there on rebrickable are incredible, possibly even better in some cases, imo. I've enjoyed building them immensely. My town is running low on space, between modulars, rebrickable mocs and my own creations.

Calling a set a rebrickable moc is definitely not an insult to me (though I'm sure the poster meant it that way)

I am sure AI can make pictures like this now if one put enough effort into it, and the new pigeon and tulip are for sure easy for it to fake in new colors. However a lot of people in the know have seen pictures or even the real set now for a long time, so if it was a fake someone would debunk it within hours:wink:

Welcome :classic:

You can "copy image link" on the picture and "paste" it here to get normal photos in (but be aware not to post leaked images)..

I can see why some people on Reddit would compare that new modular to a Creator one. Color-wise, it reminds me a bit of 31141 Main Street. Especially the combination of white, dark blue and gold. But that's where the comparison ends imho.

Tbh, I'm a bit biased regarding modulars. There's none I dislike in the main series, certainly not enough to not buy one. I'm a bit puzzled about the color palette of SS, but still love the shape of it. It will look great with other tall modulars like the GE, TH, GG, etc...

@PatrickLisse I replaced the 1x8 sand green bricks in my GG by 1x6 bricks, and using a few other sizes to fill in the gaps. I had to redraw the whole model on Studio.io to plan the steps. It was a long task, but so worth it once I finally assembled it. I also replaced the 1x2 bricks with a groove by off-brand ones, for now. The color came close enough.

Yea, my Green Grocer has the 1x6 bricks, and normal 1x2 bricks...... still have to change them for masonry bricks in sand green i have laying here.

The GWP for the launch of the new modular has been posted on Lego's website: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/vintage-parade-car-40913

I'm guessing it's supposed to be paired with the band's kids of SS. You can see some more brick built instruments on the new image of SS on that page too. Also, the banner has the same logo as TH's, for a nice reference.
