Pauolo Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 Hopefully it won't be in the middle of December... Compared to previous years, leakers have been tight-lipped on this one, besides the initial leak in September. Tudor Corner's leaks were all over the place though. Quote

Yeah, i was mildly surprised that there are no additional leaks other than “furniture store / music record store” leak. It seems Lego is doing great work with leaker-proofing method. Quote

The alley/ arcade on PH-VAP's is not bad but I do see how the SleeplessNight version looks fantastic. I could not care for the latter's building facade, though. Quote

And you can't really miss and match as they take up different widths on the baseplate, which probably contributes, with the larger of each component looking better. Quote

I like the terrace, too on SleeplessNight's build. It seems that his building is about 4 studs narrower than usual. Perhaps the only solution, if 'combining' the two is adding a 16-wide baseplate but expanding to some sidewalk builds on either side. I am a bit of a purist and would prefer to 'preserve' the facade of the original building when displaying this alongside the other modulars. Quote
Pauolo Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 "Shopping Street" was somehow confirmed as the modular's name. The previous leak of music/furniture shop still stands. Quote

The concept of "shopping street" or even "furniture/ music store" isn't quite exciting when you look at past modulars. I don't want to complain but people have been clamoring for something along the lines of public services like hospital, post office, or school. Quote

To be frank, I’m quite exited about getting a furniture store. Like where do furniture come from in the city? LOL But I’m quite curious about what it looks like and how they do wiht building furniture differently. Quote

With most of the modulars having multiple purposes I could easily something like a small post office being included in a "shopping street" set. Also I'm not so sure that traditionally larger institutional uses like a hospital lend themselves all that well to the modular format. But healthcare could be covered by smaller things like a doctor's office or pharmacy. Edited December 1, 2025 by Ray Oliver Quote

There's all kinds of opinions on that tbh. I've seen some find public service buildings boring (post offices, schools) or even grim (police stations, hospitals). I feel the modulars' designers have had to balance a lot between originality and the mundane in recent years. There's more than one type of modular fans, that's for sure. I, for one, wish Lego would abandon making super hero-themed modulars. Especially if it means that some concept like a newspaper office can't be used for a modular if the same concept already exists in a currently sold Marvel/DC modular. 3 hours ago, Lion King said: To be frank, I’m quite exited about getting a furniture store. mintgreenbird Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 The shopping street name was attributed to the employee gift “modular”. However it’s referred to in the leak as “modular winter village”. Because the leaker said modular it was mis associated as this years modular name. also Friday , bricksie, posted that he needed to build and do his review because there were a ton of releases this week starting Monday. He heavily hinted that if you know anything about modular cities and what time of year it was you knew what he had to complete Kudos for the tight lipped and suprise reveal to Lego. I bet it’s tomorrow. Or end of the week if they can stretch it. Seems like a lot of random sets were revealed today Quote

They pulled off a police station (grim as you say), and a bank (boring?). I am pretty sure they can find a way to creatively incorporate an Urgent Care clinic, or Doctor's office easily. Quote
Lion King Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 I’m quite puzzled on why bunch of people are against the idea of hospital as a modular building set. In real life, hospitals are always unpleasant, yes. But Lego does make medicine-related sets, such as hospital and ambulance recently. And I don’t think those sets are grim. I agree with @hikouki that they will find a way to make a modal set more suitable and colorful like they did with Fire Bridage and Police Station. Our cities need parademics, doctors, nurses! Urgent Care, Clinic, Hopsital, and Pharmacy Store would be GREAT. Quote
Hippocampe Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 (edited) Hospitals are necessary in any city of a certain size and they’re not always unpleasant ! Mothers give birth in hospitals, people undergo surgical interventions and treatment to get cured; the staff is generally devoted for the welfare of their patients. I don’t see why a police station with a small prison cell is much fun than a hospital where sometimes small miracles happen. So much educational and story telling in a hospital ! Tell it to the authors of Grey’s anatomy, General Hospital and all the other tv shows in that setting. Anyway, it is a popular Lego topic since many City sets were created on that subject. Maybe next year for the 20th anniversary of modular sets with a greater footprint. In Bricklink Designer sets serie 9, a great university of science has been made with less than 4000 pieces, so it is possible to build that kind of multifunctional construction in a 32x48 or 32x 64 surface. Ginger Ninja Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Speaking of a hospital, while I would absolutely love one, I think that a doctor’s office with a pharmacy would work really nicely as a standard size 32x32 modular. It could consist of a couple buildings, so more options for different architecture than a large single building hospital. Quote

Quite honestly one of my favorite builds as it was fun creating the different rooms from poached Lego City hospital parts. I also loved tiling every floor in hospital colors. Quote
Pauolo Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Someone just shared a link to the modular 2025 Lego employee gift on the official builder app: https://www.reddit.com/r/legomodular/s/3J1SIKMwBJ What's interesting is that it's actually built on two 16x32 baseplates that are linked differently than Market Street, Pet Shop and Bookshop. Since the back of this winter modular has a lot of details, I guess it's a good way to display it too. Quote

I'm biased though as I am a pharmacist. It's very easy to make the hospital a fun environment. I have the broken leg guy minifigure, lots of smiling healthcare minifigs.a baby in the maternity ward, a nervous faced guy getting a shot...etc Quote

There was a modular hospital that was submitted on Ideas and didn't pass the review, and it was only using a 32x32 baseplate: https://beta.ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/df846461-bcd0-4c22-b56e-03653fc472a1 I would definitely love a hospital on a 1.5 baseplate, just for the sake of representing all the jobs inside. PK82 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 "Shopping Street" somehow sounds more than a regular 32x32 baseplate. Hope not, because that will mess with my city layout. Quote
ddavid Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 We are getting very close. Within a week it should probably get released. Cant wait! Will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the amazing Tudor Corner Quote
