Norro Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Recently I won this auction for what I thought was a great price. Much to my excitement they arrived today and were not only in un-played with/mint condition but also included the original brochures and packing trays (even the display one for the lift the lid feature in 6270). The greatest surprise however was the inclusion of the game from this eurobricks thread complete with instruction sheet. Presumably it was packaged with some 6270s in the UK. The board (very thick paper) is larger than I thought and very beautiful (sentimentally at least :-D )... God Bless all! Nathan Quote
El Bucanero Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 16 pounds for that mint set and a board game?! You lucky dog!! Mr Tiber Quote
pacific493 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 There are few things better than winning an auction and getting a nice surprise when the item arrives. Congrats! Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 1, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 1, 2007 You were really lucky to get all these sets for that incredible price Mr. Norro. And I'm very happy to see you investing in Pirate sets. I hope you once make a pirate MOC of the size of "The Entrance To The Caves". Quote
El Bucanero Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 SetS (scroll down in the auction)... and yes I am very thankful! God Bless, Nathan You must have been blessed... By God himself! God Bless! :-D Mr Tiber Quote

Norro Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 I hope you once make a pirate MOC of the size of "The Entrance To The Caves". Drawings have been made and abandoned due to time constraints several times. When I finish my MOCtale series we'll see... You must have been blessed... By God himself! Quite likely :-D Where are pictures of this board game? Its the SYSTEM version isn't it? It is the board game discussed in the other thread (but those pics seem to have expired). I wasn't aware of its inclusion in this auction. I don't have a camera with me at the moment, but if I can get home over the weekend I'll try to take some pics... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 1, 2007 Governor Posted March 1, 2007 Yes you shall so we can have a look at this game in closer detail. Someone kiss Mr Norro for me. Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Congrats Norro, *y* that's a great find 8-o I wish i could have sniped that order :-$ Look forward to your piratey mocs. P Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 3, 2007 Governor Posted March 3, 2007 Mr Norro didn't say he was going to make MOCs out of these sets! But that doesn't mean he's not going to. So how can we find out? Ask him of course. Ok I'll ask... Mr Norro, when these sets are in your clutches what do you intend to do with them? Quote
Norrington Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 You must have been blessed... By God himself!God Bless! :-D Mr Tiber Heathen, it was obviously Satan's doing. You see, He wanted pirate fanatics like us toget it, but God, who has to spite us pirate fanatics however he can, and because Satan wanted a Pirate fan to get it, Gd gave it to the opposite of a pirate fan: A castle Fan. Someone kiss Mr Norro for me. UUMMM.... X-D This is awkward.... Ummmm.... Lol X-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 4, 2007 Governor Posted March 4, 2007 Awkward Mr Norrington? But did you enjoy it? Quote
Norrington Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Well Phes, it was awkward because you asked me to do it, and because Norro and I live in two different countries, so no I didn't do your bidding. Quote
El Bucanero Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Well Phes, it was awkward because you asked me to do it, and because Norro and I live in two different countries, so no I didn't do your bidding. Err, he didn't ask YOU to do it, but SOMEONE here, and I'm sure there are more Irish or British in here... Capiche? Mr Tiber Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted March 5, 2007 Governor Posted March 5, 2007 Well Phes, it was awkward because you asked me to do it, and because Norro and I live in two different countries, so no I didn't do your bidding. Err, he didn't ask YOU to do it, but SOMEONE here, and I'm sure there are more Irish or British in here... Capiche? Mr Tiber is right, I didn't ask anyone in particular to kiss Mr Norro, however you Mr Norrington, was the only one that was responded saying that you felt a bit awkward, so I assumed you had went and kissed him! X-D Quote
Norrington Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I said I felt awkward because you asked me to do something I don't normally (or ever) do... But anyways, lets not get off topic. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 6, 2007 Governor Posted March 6, 2007 I see we haven't progressed since Mr Tiber's last post. This thread is about "That great feeling" and surely kissing Mr Norro would give you "that great feeling"? Quote
El Bucanero Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 God dang you! >:-( I bid on that 8-| Now, don't be rude!... I also won an auction lately! A SES, lagoon lock up and Renegade runner for 139.88 euro... That's not so cheap as Mr Norro's prize, but I still think it's not so expensive! Mr Tiber Quote
Norro Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 Mr Norro, when these sets are in your clutches what do you intend to do with them? I built them, and then added them to the parts bin... though I've got to admit they were in such great condition it hurt more than normal :-$ . As to the pics of the game I'll have to do it in two weeks time (weekend of the 23rd) as I got run off my feet over this last one... God Bless all, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 8, 2007 Governor Posted March 8, 2007 Did you like your kiss from Mr Norrington? :-D Quote
Cutlass Cole Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I feel happy for you, some Pirate Sets are just what one needs to round out a week. ( Or start one ) thumbs up here, because the normal smily always points V Quote
Norro Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 Did you like your kiss from Mr Norrington? :-D I would have preferred it if you had delegated this task to a stereo-typical Aussie beach babe.... :-D God Bless, Nathan Quote
