DARKspawn Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Hi everyone, I usually lurk over in the History & Adventure forum but I thought you mught enjoy my latest MOC. This is a little bit of nostalgia for me ;-) Great fun to build too. I collected classic space from the very first series as a kid. The Moonwacker Pic is Brickshelf link Comments appreciated :) Quote
Capn Kirk 911 Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I like the large cannons on the back! By the way in what set did those wheels come in? I can't remember, having a brain freeze! Quote
xenologer Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I like the large cannons on the back! By the way in what set did those wheels come in? I can't remember, having a brain freeze! Insectoids X-D Quote
Asuka Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Very nice! I especially like the cockpit and those beautiful fenders! *y* Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Beautiful little MOC you have there. It doesn't look like an old set (it's too complex), but it really works. Great job :'-) Quote
lone_buffalo Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 So they finnaly found out that radios and little cars won't help them conquer the others? Quote
DARKspawn Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 Cheers all :-D Yeah the wheels did come from the insectoid range ;-) I was happy to find a good use for them. I always found it amusing that the classic space guys sometimes had equipment & vehicles that resembled weapons but were always called something else to make them more neutral lol. So this isn't a mobile twin laser, it's a communications aray ;-) Quote
ghoulrealm Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 *y* The colors and the fenders is what really wins me over to this moc, even though I'm not a big fan of the wheeled space vehicles. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 3, 2007 Governor Posted March 3, 2007 A moonwacker huh? How'd it get that name? It looks to be a quite sturdy design, imperative for cruising across luna surfances, and the blue and grey colour scheme seems very Classic Space to me. However, is red the right colour for the spacemen? They really do contrast with the blue and they would be a prime target for being gored by celestial bulls... :-D Quote
DARKspawn Posted March 3, 2007 Author Posted March 3, 2007 A moonwacker huh? How'd it get that name? lol It's kind of the lunar version of "Bushwacker" spliced with a healthy Aussie sense of humour ;-) However, is red the right colour for the spacemen? They're just there for the nostalgia value, & I actually chose red over white just so they would stick out ridiculously. Quote
