CopMike Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I saw a well written guide by Willam Reed over at theBrickBlogger.com about how to find the figs easy be feeling the package. Go here to read the excellent article. Quote
Brickington Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Thanks! It is a very helpful article. I think I might just go and try to get me some of the revolutionary soldiers today. Quote
just2good Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 (edited) Great guide! This will help everyone looking for the figures! Though, I don't need it. I'm the feeling master when it comes to feeling for minifigures. Never got one that I've felt wrong. AmperZand Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Thanks for the link, CopMike. That is indeed a useful and well-written article. I haven't got my hands on S10 yet, but with previous series, I used the same tactile methods described at the link. However, when I was seeking multiples of the same minifig, I combined feeling for minifigs with looking at the dots. Once I was sure that I had felt a particular minifig correctly, I narrowed down the search for duplicates using the dot pattern. Saves a lot of time. Quote
Yooha Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) Great guide, however many professionals already knew these techniques. I just realised that there are no skirt-bricks in this series which would have helped to exclude some female-figs. For me the revolutionary soldier's and the mechanic's headgear are similar. I could only feel that it's like a ponytail but didn't know which, even though the mechanic's "ponytail" is shorter. But of course the wrench gave him away. Man, there were so many wrenches in that box I tried and I'm so not interested in that guy. And there was a highyl mysterious part I couldn't identify for minutes! It felt like a small rod with some thicker ends, like a lightsabre hilt or wheels of a skateboard. At one end, it had 3 small spikes like a mace. You know what it was: The Trendsetter's chihuahua.
