Curtis Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Hi everyone! I found a Ninjago Skull Truck for $43.00 at a local store and just wondering if it's worth getting for the wheels/tires, suspension and other Technic parts at that price? It seemed like they had a few older sets that they must have found in a back room somewhere because I bought an Atlantis Shark as well. They also have a Creator Sonic Boom jet (5892) for the same $43.00 that I was debating over instead of the Skull Truck, but that's just my Lego A.D.D. at play. Anyway, I thought I saw somewhere that the wheels/tires on the Skull Truck are fairly hard to find and might lend well to a rock crawler MOC? Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks! Curtis Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Welcome to Eurobricks! I was thinking of getting the set, but i didn't really need the lego bricks, but i would suggest you get it, or you can use bricklink. Quote
DLuders Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) The 2506 Lego Ninjago Skull Truck seems to have a nice selection of useful System and Technic parts (from this Bricklink inventory). Edited April 13, 2013 by DLuders Quote
legomuppet9 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I got a slightly imcomplete one for £10 on ebay but i wouldn't pay anymore than £20 Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I found a guy on eBay selling those wheels for £7.50 but they had a grey rim instead. I already had 8 of the rims In grey so I got some black plastic spray paint and sprayed them, it actually turned out really well. :) Quote

legomuppet9 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I got a slightly imcomplete one for that much so don't get just the wheels.... Quote
1974 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Those wheels also come in the 8069 which is a super parts pack (allthough I do not know what to do with 20+ buckets). It's easy (at least here) to find with a 50% or more discount and includes 4 mini LAs too + loads of gears. Just rather annoying that the hubs where changed at one point. I do prefer the old 'six hole' version myself That Ninjago vehicle is a gem. No way I can nick those wheels from my sons fav set Quote
Zerobricks Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I bought the whole set for 20€ in my local Spar. Talk about a steal. Quote
Curtis Posted April 15, 2013 Author Posted April 15, 2013 Thanks for the advice and tips! After reading all this and checking out some leads I decided to go ahead and get the new complete set I found for $43.00. I don’t have very many extra parts and after what ‘Someonenamedjon’ and ‘Dluders’ said, I figured the whole set will help when it comes time to build a rock crawler MOC. 1974: Luckily my son is only 10 weeks old so I don’t think he’ll start complaining for a few years yet! Zblj: Wow! That’s $26.17 US… That IS a steal! Curtis Quote
