Grimmbeard Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I've never just given up while building a set. I never think that buying LEGO can be a mistake (unless you get broke over it ). If I decide I don't like the set I can just take it apart and have more spare bricks . Quote
TrumpetKing Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 This topic sounds a bit vague. I get the point of it, but perhaps you could be a bit more clear as to why you are posting the topic. Have you had a similar experience? It would be nice to have a bit of background information. Anyways, no, I have not given up and regretted a purchase choice. Quote
coffeeandcake Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 all of them. i would be so rich now, if i never bought any lego ....but its an incurable addiction. Quote
Brickington Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 An example of the only regret I have is this. About a half a year ago I went into B&N to spend around 110 bucks on LEGO. I couldn't make my mind on buying the Helms Deep or Queen Anne's Revenge set. I bought Helm's Deep and to this day I regret that decision. But that the only regret I have ever had buying a LEGO set. jimmynick Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Some years ago I bought the 6212 X-Wing. I broke it up almost immediately. I can't really say I regretted the decision to drop $50 on it, but I didn't get as much fun out of that as I did out of, say 6210 Sail Barge or 7036 Dwarves' Mine. Quote
Kivi Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Not once so far. Though when I came back from dark ages and bought myself 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty, I must admit it didn't quite fulfill my expectations. Maybe because I badly wanted a pirate ship ever since I first saw Barracuda when it was released in 1989 and this one didn't quite come close. Quote
Leo604 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I don't I've ever seriously regretted buying a set because of its content; for me it was price-related when I got Mirkwood Spiders for a ridiculously high price and kind of wished afterwards I'd saved the money later for Attack of the Wargs. The minifigs and spiders are good, but here in Canada prices are high and I wouldn't have had far to save for the Wargs set. Quote
Flipz Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I regret forgetting to show my Disneyland pass for my 10% off my entire order at the LEGO store in Downtown Disney the other day. I could have bought another $20 set with the money I would have saved! Quote
Paul B Technic Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Earlier this year I grabbed all these, cost me $233 and then I sold them after I had built them. It was fun building them but really I paid way too much for them. 8256 Go Kart 8259 Mini Dozer 8260 Mini Loader 8261 Rally Truck 8262 Quad Bike Quote
B34TBOXX5 Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 If I decide I don't like the set I can just take it apart and have more spare bricks . Haha you nailed it... when I'm in the middle of a build I'll pillage my constructed sets for certain pieces... And the ones I don't like are the first to be attacked!!! Muahahaha Quote
