Hello! I present to you the engine, which was somewhere in the 1830's, or later. A characteristic feature of the day is the opening of the roof, and a long pipe.

This certainly fits with the era you are trying to create and it is such a nice little train. I agree some old fashioned freight cars would be nice to see, but it is wonderful as it is in that little scene at the platform.
