Starwars4J Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 This E-bay Auction would probably make most people fall out of their chairs! Just wanted to post this in case any of our members happened across a fortune :-P As for other information my Birthday is Sept 26 and yes I do accept early gifts ;-) :-D Quote
simonwillems Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Nooooooooo!! That's just crazy! 8- Quote
Hobbes Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 That looks like a brick-built shelf... I'm sure that auction is fake... :-P :-P :-P Quote
ApophisV Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Good ol' times... :'-) Though I would appraciate a SNES collection even more ;-) (Note to myself: Get a SNES with Yoshi's Island, Mario Kart and Terranigma from eBay!) Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 The NES is the only retro Nintendo console I don't own. Mainly because I never cared too much about it. I would love a complete SNES collection though (since the SNES is hands down the best system ever made). Apo, you do realize you named some of the more expensive games there, right? Especially Terranigma since it was never released in the US. Then again, German language versions usually are cheaper. Ok, I'll stop there, else I'll keep on talking about retro games for hours :-P One last thing though: 220.000 dollars is sick. It can't be worth that much...most of his games are cart only... Quote
captaintau Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 (Note to myself: Get a SNES with Yoshi's Island, Mario Kart and Terranigma from eBay!) Nah, get a SNES emulator and whatever games you want. All for nothing. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Nah, get a SNES emulator and whatever games you want. All for nothing. If you're a real retro gamer, you'll want the vintage systems. Trust me, emulators just don't have that feeling the actual consoles do ;-) Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 (edited) Trust me, emulators just don't have that feeling the actual consoles do You're right... they feel so much better. Save anywhere, take screenshots, whip out value cheats, play fan bootlegs/hacks, no buying a second or third console to play foreign games, no tripping on cords, no clogging up the eletrical outlet with 900 systems, using 1-button keyboard macros instead of pulling off overly-complex fighting game moves on a controller... Fun, fun, fun! And best of all... especially referencing the NES console... no damn overheating / blue screen of flashing death! Edited January 31, 2007 by JINZONINGEN 73 Quote
ApophisV Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Nah, get a SNES emulator and whatever games you want. All for nothing. Dude!!! A SNES is a SNES and emulating it is blasphemic!!! >:-) Really, you need this cool retro console feeling, otherwise the games aren't fun!!! Oh, and add Zelda for SNES and the Gameboy (including this Super Gameboy module) to my list! ;-) Quote

Oh, and add Zelda for SNES and the Gameboy (including this Super Gameboy module) to my list! ;-) Well, if you're getting one, here's some of my favorites: Chrono Trigger (USA only): Must-have, one of the best RPG's ever created. Classic. 40-50 Euro, cart only Final Fantasy III (USA only): See Chrono Trigger. Best FF in my opinion (yes, better then VII). 30-40 Euro, cart only Turtles IV: Turtles in Time: My favorite multiplayer game. A great beat em-all which is 10 times more fun when played with a friend. 10 Euro, cart only Street Fighter 2: No introduction necessary, I believe. The pinnacle of 2D fighting games. 5-10 Euro, cart only Super Mario All-Stars/Mario World: Mario All-Stars contains the 4 NES mario games and will keep you busy for quite a while. Mario World is a classic too. Can be gotten on one cartridge or on two. 10-15 a piece or 20-25 for 1 cartridge (cart only) Super Metroid: 2D gaming at it's best. Short but high replay value, an absolute must-have. 15-20 Euro, cart only You'll want to look at Ebay US for the USA only games as they tend to be cheaper there (but shipping might be high and you need a US SNES or a converter to play them). Starwars4J Posted February 1, 2007 Author Posted February 1, 2007 Well it seems there was some error in price. Now it's a steal :-D Quote

oo7 Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 After all those exadgerated, faulty bid ebay now deleted the whole auction! 8- Quote
maiq the liar Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 We already have a NES, but we hardly use it, like our sega saturn and our other N64 (our Game collector/player cousin rented out our basment with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a kitchen plus living room-It's bigger then his OLD apartment! He got a PS3 and an xbox 360, while we have a wii and a 360 for this gen.) And on the topic of SNES, before my old comp was raped to death by winfixer, i had to use a emulator to play super bonk (AWESOME music!) because i didnt have it for real SNES. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Why does everybody use Emulators? I only use them to try games before buying them, and I only do that for the SNES anyway. I have 140+ original games, why would I need illegal games? Collecting is half the fun, you know. Which, in turn, is another reason not to buy all NES games at once. It's much more fun to finallyfind that game you've been looking for for ages. Quote
