Ok, to be honest, I'm not that thrilled about Ninjago continuing. What else is there to do? The story is over and done with, just end it here and now.

I thought everyone knew it was continuing. I mean, there's a theatricality release movie coming around 2016. :look:

Wow, I didn't know that Ninjago was still going to last. Anyways, this is good news. I hope they have a complete season full of fish people and I hope they go underwater. Also they could do a season where they go underground.

Like a Power Miners / Ninjago and Atlantis / Ninjago cross over!

Anyone see this: "overlord is a clandestine figure" on the agents description for summer 2014. So it might mean that The Overlord is the worst villain in the lego universe!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like it has been previously said, I doubt it's the same as the Ninjago Overlord. It was just a general term used for the master enemy.

So, if I understand this correctly, Agents is getting tHe overlord? Or did the person who made the report, not inculde a Ninjago part and accdidently mixed it with Ultra Agents

No. The person writing that Toy Fair review is using overlord as a common noun, not a proper name. So it's AN overlord, specifically the overlord of that theme. It's not THE capital-O Overlord from Ninjago. Same way the green ninjas from the old turn-of-the-century Ninja theme are both green ninja, but neither of them is THE Green Ninja from Ninjago.

What if he saw both the Agents AND Ninjago sets and they both had the same villain that appeared to be the Overlord?Anyways I'm alright with this theme continuing, so long as we eventually get Misako, I'm good.

Am I the only person (besides Aanchir) who knows that "(Evil) Overlord" is a popular cliche in supervillain titles, probably where the OverLord got his name and generally used to refer to the mastermind of an operation?

Speaking of which, am I the only one who hopes that the OverLord will become a slightly more impressive villain? So far he's pulled of no complex plans and has merely used brute force. Even him lying to Garmadon is a pretty easy plan, as Garmadon can't see an obvious trope if it spinjitzu'd him into a wall.

I'm sorry, what? The Overlord's plans are incredibly complex down to the very groundwork of the plot. He assisted in the creation of the Great Devourer, and, perhaps the Serpentine too, and most likely had MAJOR ties to the Underworld with the Stone Army's origin probably coming from there. Like he said in Episode 20, everything in his grand plan moved together "like the gears of a clock."

Even though he created the Great Devourer, I doubt his plan at the time was anything beyond "wreck stuff". Most of his plots seem to have succeeded only because of dumb luck.

No, he created the Great Devourer knowing that it would bite Garmadon and turn him into the Dark Lord. The Overlord and the First Spinjitzu Master both knew everything that would happen, and this is further evidenced by the Temple of Light's "pictures". The plan was far more than to just destroy things. Nothing in NINJAGO happened by "dumb luck". Everything had cause and effect. Also bring in the equation of "destiny" into it. The only thing so far that has seemingly happened by "dumb luck" is the Overlord's survival as a computer virus. Even then, they're sure to elaborate on that further.

Garmadon and Wu are a lot older than they seem. They were both around before the Great Devourer and the Serpentine were imprisoned (how would the Serpentine know how to unleash the Great Devourer if they had been imprisoned first?) For perhaps thousands of years they fought alongside each other as the venom worked inside of Garmadon. Eventually, Kai's father grew up and became great friends with at least Wu, while Garmadon and Wu started their love triangle with Misako  Eventually, Kai's father had his own kids, and Garmadon further creeped into darkness until he had Lloyd, probably when Kai was thirteen. After that Garmadon turned evil, and Wu defeated him. Wu hid the Golden Weapons, and gave a map to Kai's father to keep. At some point in the future (a part I have little knowledge about here, so excuse me if I get something wrong) he had an adventure to do with a thing called the "Tower of Tears" and a mirror showed him that he would need to form a team of ninja. As I said, I am unsure of that last part, but I know that Wu at least had a vision of why he needed to form the ninja.

But anyway, this is getting off-topic but you know the rest of the plot. Or you will, if you watch the TV show

On the Brick Fan website yesterday, someone snuck a photo of the City display. In the background of that photo was what I believe to be the X-1 Charger. For anyone else that saved the image, it looks like it is shown as a poster on the wall in the background. It is similar to Corydoras' description of the set. It looks like a F1 car though. Narrow body, red colour (but may have white on the sides...hard to tell) large open wheels with gold rims and what looks like some kind of large black spoiler/engine/turbine/missile launcher on the back of it. Corydoras also mentions a Nindroid with a jetpack and there appears to be a very blurry shot of just such a thing above the vehicle. I'm totally unsure of this though, since there is no signage in that area for Ninjago. Anyone else seen this? Corydoras, does my description match/jive with what you saw? Sadly, the reports from London Toyfair have all paid little to no attention to this theme.....

The problem with that all happening thousands of years ago is that at the very beginning of the TV show, when Kai meets him, Wu looks old (relatively, of course), but when Wu fought Garmadon (see The Battle Between Brothers, and when he talks to Kai about hiding the weapons), he looks young, and by your calculations that was less than ten years before.

Of course, Lloyd was born some time before Garmadon fell, and that was certainly less than twelve years before Lloyd unleashed the Serpentine.

So Ninjago is just all messed up with dates  BTW, I think that I talked about this before with someone; the producers probably didn't expect anyone to bother to try to find out when it all happened

Ah....okay. My bad!! I thought that it was a bit of a departure from the winter wave sets design-wise. Thanks for the heads-up and information! I guess we will find out what both sets look like next week at the Nuremberg Toy Fair.
