I saw Finding Dory a few weeks ago. I loved it! It's not as good as the first one but still great. Here is my Pixar movie ranking, excluding Brave because I have not seen it.

My thoughts on FD exactly. I can recommend checking out Brave. It's not their best, but it's definitely better than at least the last 4 in your list.

I have a choice between Conjuring 2, Independence Day 2, and Finding Dory which one should I pick?

You're asking this in a Pixar fan thread?

But seriously, don't watch ID4.2: Regurgitance. It's inferior to the original in almost every way whereas the other two sequels you mentioned are about as good as their originals. Conjuring 2 and FD are two very different movies though, so it depends on what mood you're in. You'll have to decide whether you want to laugh/cry or poop your pants.

I'm surprised Monsters University is low on a lot of the mention ed "best of Pixar lists." I dunno though, maybe the film resonated well with me when I first saw it thanks to it releasing at the end of my Freshman year of college.

Why the heck did you put Wall-E as number 10?

Wall-E is my personal favorite, of the ones I've seen.

I still haven't seen Toy Story yet, which is crazy, as I consider myself a fan of Pixar.

I haven't seen The Good Dinosaur either, nor have I seen any of the sequels with the exception of Finding Dory and Toy Story 3.

I only watched Toy Story 3 before the other two because it was a group thing, it wasn't my choice. I don't do that.

Ranking Pixar movies is so hard cause they're alway so consistent with the quality of movie they produce. A low ranked movie out of Pixar is still a really really good movie

Although I'm not particular fond of Monster's University, Finding Nemo (Gasp!) and Wall-E (Double Gasp!), I do think they are good movies. They're just not movies I can muster any interest in while watching, particularly Finding Nemo. I love the first half of Wall-E, and Monster's University is decent enough that I can sort of tune in and out of it if it's on.

I haven't seen all these films in awhile, but here's my list of my top five Pixar films.

1. Up

2. Inside Out

3. Toy Story 2

4. The Incredibles

5. Monster's Inc.

I think it's obvious I have a bit of a crush for the works of Pete Docter. Up is probably in my top ten favourite movies, and Inside Out was really freaking good.

Looks like we're getting that Incredibles sequel earlier than we thought! The Incredibles 2 has just switched release dates with Toy Story 4. It is now:

The Incredibles 2 - June 15, 2018
Toy Story 4 - June 21, 2019

And yeah, I like to watch Super Carlin Brothers too, even though it seems like they are just repeating theories and facts that they read on the internet lately.

Did you guys see the short that some of the Pixar animators made in their spare time? I think it's called "Borrowed Time". It's really good.

That's an understatement

Delaying Toy Story 4 is a good sign because it shows they're not treating it as a mere cash-in. I'm still not convinced the film has a reason to exist though; the only thing that'll put my mind at rest on whether a fourth Toy Story sequel can work is a trailer that captures the humour and warmth of the previous entries in the series.

Okay, fine. I know it's called "Borrowed Time".

That's not what I meant. I mean that it being really good is an understatement

Here's a teaser trailer for Cars 3....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4K7JgPJ8-s

Holy cow, this is going to be dark.

EDIT - found the synopsis via Collider

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!

I like that teaser, there's definitely been a massive improvement of animation since both Cars Movies. It looks like there's going to be a repeat of what happened to Doc Hudson.

I think the reason the Cars 3 trailer was present the way it was to get people talking. I sure as heck know that the moment it went up people were talking about how mature  that trailer was. I'm actually pretty curious to see where this goes, and I'm glad the studio seems to want to present the next movie as an actual continuation of the plot and not "Larry the Cable Guy/Car Does Shenanigans: The Movie". Sure, it's a Cars movie, but I have a bit of hope for this one.

Also, holy smokes the rendering in that trailer was ridiculously good.

Yup, PIXAR sure has come a long way since Toy Story. Ever since they upgraded their rendering engine, their movies have been looking fantastic. I am also excited to see the jump in visual quality in the other sequels!

Screen Rant - Incredibles 2 Opening Weekend Is Higher Than Captain America: Civil War

Quote

Per Box Office Mojo, Incredibles 2 grossed a whopping $180 million this weekend, sailing past Finding Dory's previous all-time mark for largest animated opening. That haul is so impressive, it narrowly edges out Captain America: Civil War ($179.1 million) for the fifth-largest superhero movie debut ever. Only Infinity War, The Avengers, Black Panther, and Age of Ultron made more in their opening weekends. Incredibles 2 is already the sixth-highest grossing film of 2018 to date, and it'll only rise up the charts from here.
