Hi all,

i´ve got a short question. Didn´t find anything helpful about it.

Is the new PF L-motor "more powerful" than the old one ?

I mean this one here:

i think they are about equal: XL motor with about 220 rpm and 40 torque, and L with 400 rpm and 18 torqueSo gearing down L motor 2:1 gives 2 times more torque.

They are close, but XL is still more powerful with 2.21W of mechanical power at 9V, where as the L motor has 1.85W of mechanical power at 9V.

Semi on topic, how many L motors can you run off one battery box with the new V2 IR?

you can run two L motors, any more would result in receiver cutting off when you would stress the motors

Yesterday I tested 2x L motors as alternative to 1 XL motor at my middle-scale awd mocs like this

or this http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73762&hl=8081.

I built light awd chassis and mount 2L motors. The weight was simulated by two battery boxes (of course with accus)

Weight of chassis and moc car about 900-950 g. So I can compare them.

2L shows the same torque, but better acceleration, 1,5 times faster speed, compact and better mounting possibilities.

Our next awd car will be with 2x L motors;)
