I set myself the limit that if I posted 3 times in my old tread with no replies I would take a break from posting the Avatar stuff on Eurobricks. Due to external reason I broke that rule and took a break. Well, a little over a month has passes, so I’ll try with a new thread.

So here are some of my newest Avatar builds.

I have in general been experimenting a bit with some light bricks, as you may have seen in the licensed theme photography thread, and here is one my latest experiments:

img1586ddy.jpg

Aang has unfortunately been captured by Admiral Zhao’s Yu Yan archers and has been chained up at the Pohuai stronghold. A mysterious figure enters his cell.

img1605w.jpg

Who is this mysterious Blue Spirit? Friend or foe?

I’m not completely happy with this one; the lights I build into the thing were not as strong as had hoped so I had to use another light brick for the second shot. Also the camera had a hard time focusing on the blue spirit. The picture turned out ok after all.

img1607r.jpg

Also a picture of the setup from “The Blue Spirit” without the electrics in broad daylight for good measure.

I have also made a few other things.

img1614j.jpg

Toph has been tricked into an ambush with a fake letter from her mother.

img1618yl.jpg

The ambush was set up by master Yu and Xin Fu, who have been chasing Toph ever since she ran away from home.

img1611f.jpg

There is quite a way from Ba Sing Se to Gaoling.

img1613bf.jpg

As Toph is trapped inside the metal box she realizes something…

img1609k.jpg

…Metal is bendable!

img1625r.jpg

Sokka and Zuko set out to find Hakoda in the Boiling Rock, one of the most secure prisons in the Firenation. Unfortunately they haven’t found him yet, but they have found Suki. While Sokka is very happy to see her again he is greeted by Suki with a punch to the gut because he is disguised as a prison guard.

img1623zv.jpg

Zuko had to blow his cover to protect Sokka and has been imprisoned. Unfortunately for Zuko the warden of the Boiling Rock happens to be Mai’s uncle. Mai didn’t take Zuko’s breakup by letter method too well.

img1619jf.jpg

The Boiling Rock has an escape proof record, and Chit Sang was not lucky enough to change that.

img1621ak.jpg

The warden probably thinks that a little extra blood to Chit Sang’s brain will help him remember who his accomplices are.

img1622nou.jpg

Two Guards, the warden and Chit Sang.

img1627je.jpg

The third part of The Promise, a comic that follows up from the first cartoon, has just been released, so why not make a figure of one of the new characters from the comic, Kori Morishita. Also Sneers, because there aren’t that many opportunities to use him.

img1636ox.jpg

I have also decided to improve my probending arena a bit. Just as Oky suggested I have used flextubing for the ropes.

img1637b.jpg

During the tiebreaker Korra delivers a powerful water uppercut to Tahno that sends his helmet flying to the cheap rows. The center of the arena can now be raised.

img1640t.jpg

Despite the Fire Ferrets best efforts the Wolfbats won the game through cheating. The center can also be lowered.

img1641w.jpg

This can’t end well.

img1642sy.jpg

Amon had planned this all along.

As usual I’m open for suggestions about what to build, and I’m open for constructive criticism.

While I did take a break from posting all my build for a while I didn’t actually stop building, so I have about a dozen things up my sleeve.

(I've been looking at your creations's and been meaning to post for a while.

So sorry I hadn't got to it until now!)

Awesome MOCs Runamuck! I really like your new arena. Unfortunatly, I haven't seen the new series yet, and saw only 2 episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender when it was on TV way back when. (I must admit the very first episode from season 1 and the very last episode from the last season were the only ones I saw. Kinda ruins it, doesn't it? )

Welcome back, Runamuck! Sorry if we made you feel unappreciated by not commenting on your last few batches. :look: We still love your Avatar creations and always look forward to them, or at least I do. Not sure if a new thread was really necessary, but that's up to you and the mods to decide. Your last few Mocs were great, and so are these new ones! The probending arena is indeed much better now, although that slight curve on the outsides is a bit strange. I'm also loving those prison guard uniforms. The lighting in the first two pictures is much too dark for my taste though. I don't remember that scene being nearly as dark.

Unfortunatly, I haven't seen the new series yet, and saw only 2 episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender when it was on TV way back when. (I must admit the very first episode from season 1 and the very last episode from the last season were the only ones I saw. Kinda ruins it, doesn't it? )

*oh2* It does! But I urge you to go back and watch A:TLA anyway, and then watch Kora. You wont regret it! :sweet:

OK, let’s try to regain what has been lost. Luckily I had a backup of this one.

Well, that is kind of a bummer Murdoch because I don’t want to spoil the surprises for people if they are interested in seeing the shows. Since your location sates that you are American, maybe you could try to catch up on some episodes on Nickelodeons website if your web connection is suitable for that. The video archive does have a few episodes of the old series, and I believe they have all episodes of the Legend of Korra at the moment, if you are interested.

It’s not that I don’t feel appreciated, it’s just that I feel that if I can’t build anything good enough to generate a response from people it makes me feel a little like I’m spamming the forum a little with my mediocre creations. Thinking about it, making a new thread is probably not any better than just keeping to multipost, but if nothing else the threads can always be fused by the staff. I’m probably just thinking a little too much about this.

Speaking of the old thread, any guesses on who the chi-blockers are supposed to look like? Hint: It’s a bit of a joke about the voice acting in one of the episodes.

The curve in the edge of the arena is because I, as usual, didn’t quite have enough of the right pieces. Really annoying when you need 6 pieces for each side and you have 5 of one type and about a dozen of those for the other side. I got fed up, and just built with the best equivalent I had available.

Yes, you are right; the picture with the Blue Spirit didn’t quite turn out as a wanted too. Well some experiments work and some don’t.

Since I’m already talking I may as well post something that I have just built motivated a little by Ninja month. Oh yeah, sorry if this is spoiling things from the series for some people here on the board.

The LEGO forum that I also frequent is having a ninja theme month, so here are a few things motivated a little by that:

img1645yv.jpg

In order to gain team Avatar’s trust Zuko has been helping the various members. In this case he is helping Katara find the man who murdered her mother.

img1650yp.jpg

About 6 years ago the Southern Raiders made a quick hit and run attack on the Southern Watertribe.

img1648kz.jpg

Yon Rha, the commander of the Southern Raiders were given the orders to find and kill the last waterbender in the Southern Watertribe. Kya sacrificed herself in order to protect her daughter Katara.

img1659ux.jpg

Yon Rha learns the truth about the last southern waterbender as Katara confronts him and stops the rain dead in the air.

img1653o.jpg

img1654uv.jpg

The igloo from the flashback.

img1662lr.jpg

Yon Rha, Kya and Katara.

img1660e.jpg

Zuko, Katara and Yon Rha.

And for a bit of extra ninja:

img1663cl.jpg

Kori all dressed up and ready to try assassinating someone with her meteor hammer.

Still trying to catch up on the lost stuff.

After having built the two dragons I had some more requests from “The Firebending Masters”.

img1241kx.jpg

One request was for the room with the Sunstone.

img1242xr.jpg

Aang and Zuko preparing to do the fusion dance the Dancing Dragon.

img1243z.jpg

And Zuko who has clearly never seen “Raiders of the Lost Ark”.

img1244ue.jpg

img1246q.jpg

A better look at the rather crude statues. Unfortunately I didn’t have enough of the right pieces to make the heads a little more detailed. They remind me a bit of the dancing pixel men from Junior Senior’s “D-D-Don’t Stop the Beat” music video.

img1248v.jpg

Another part of the request was some figures of the Sunwarriors. A man, a woman, and their chief. Admittedly the hat isn’t entirely accurate, but it sure is fancy.

img1251s.jpg

A better look at the chief’s face.

I already posted a couple of picture from “The Cave Of Two Lovers” earlier, but it was not the only thing I build for that episode.

img1261kc.jpg

“Heh-hey! River people!.” Yes, I thought it might be a fun ide to make the hippies from “The Cave of Two Lovers.”

img1262l.jpg

New swimsuits.

img1265s.jpg

The hippies: Moku, Chong, Lilly and their…uh…two backup dancers. I guess some …wolfbats or something must have snatched some of their hats.

img1267u.jpg

A better look at Chong and Lilly, complete with bags under their eyes.

And for good measure the pictures with the moody lighting:

img1428gw.jpg

img1427p.jpg

Love is brightest in the dark.

And let’s end on a lame joke:

img1667v.jpg

It’s a Knock out!

Sorry for going a little overboard with posting these things after the forum came back up. I’ll be back to a more sensible way of posting after this one.

After seeing the version of the mecha tank that Glenbricker made I decided to overhaul my own version a little.

img1680w.jpg

The old model was blocky, fragile and not very articulated, so I decided to keep the basic design, but overhaul all the details. It’s not as brilliant as the version Glenbricker built, but it’s certainly better that the old version.

img1683z.jpg

The driver is trying to capture Lin, but unfortunately for him she’s a lot better at dodging than he is at aiming. I have also decided to make my own accessories for the tank, which is handy when you like to make a few action scenes too.

img1698kz.jpg

Lin can be quite brutal when she fights. You almost feel sorry for the guy inside the tank as she stabs through the window.

img1687yo.jpg

As the Equalists decide to take over Republic City they start out by taking out the city council and the law enforcement. Basically a better look at the capture device at the end of the wire.

img1689lw.jpg

Another way of dispatching of the metal bending officers is by capturing them in their armour with a huge electro magnet.

And since I have more or less made two of them:

img1690wo.jpg

While Asami and Bolin were destroying the Equalists airbase Asami was attacked by her own father in a mecha tank. Since Asami had “borrowed” a tank herself they were on equal terms in the fight. Hiroshi lost the fight, and got a taste of his own weapons as Asami captured him with an electrified bolo as he tried to run away.

Many thanks to Glenbricker for the motivation and a bit of inspiration, and please check out his Mecha Tank Cuusoo project if you haven’t done so already.

Also, since I have brought the biplane out:

img1695vv.jpg

While Asami and Bolin are destroying the airbase, Iroh is trying his best to destroy the biplanes that had already taken off. As my brother pointed out to me, I had accidentally built in an action feature, a easily detachable tail.

Ok, I think it’s once again time for me to dig up some things I built a while ago.

All of these things are from the old series.

First a simple little vignette:

img1333b.jpg

Katara trying to bring some hope back to the spiritually broken earthbenders.

img1334nj.jpg

The warden is not impressed.

img1347j.jpg

I also made a figure of Haru’s mother for good measure.

img1346e.jpg

And of course also a shot with Haru’s infamous moustache, oddly enough no one ever seems to mention the goatee.

Pictures of the warden in a minute, because I have a different shot first.

img1341v.jpg

Long Feng admiring his handiwork. Yes, I have posted this one in the photography thread. Does anyone know if digital cameras can imitate wide angle lenses?

img1343gy.jpg

Jet’s demise.

img1339jx.jpg

The warden, and Jet who has gotten some new hair.

Sorry about the messy episode chronology, but I’m posting the MOC’s in the order I build them.

img1389vl.jpg

Katara’s long fingers as cause the group to be chased by pirates, and Aang is doing his best to escape from them.

img1390yc.jpg

The cabbage merchant is clearly not very happy with his cabbage cart being part of this chase scene.

img1392s.jpg

The cabbage merchant and his cart.

img1394nj.jpg

The pirates.

And now for some….slightly trippy stuff.

img1395hy.jpg

img1396b.jpg

img1398e.jpg

Aang is clearly not enjoying his nightmares and daydreams.

Edited by Runamuck
Posted

It’s nice to hear, it was quite fun to build Appa and Momo from ”Nightmares and Daydreams”.

Well, I still have a few things from the archive:

img1404ro.jpg

A sand-sailer. Complete with a few sandbenders. The yellow cone is supposed to be the little sand tornado they use to propel the sand-sailer forwards with.

img1406no.jpg

A better look at the sand-sailer itself, complete with little compass sticker.

img1410gq.jpg

Sha-Mo, his son Ghashiun and two unnamed sandbenders.

img1411eu.jpg

And a little shot of Ghashiun and his goons trying to steal Appa.

img1420b.jpg

I have posted this one in the photo thread already. I had a red light brick and tried to make a little picture inspired by “The Storm”.

img1417lz.jpg

I also made a picture of the figures for good measure. Lieutenant Jee, the cook, the engineer and a soldier without armor.

I also made a little build for “The Painted Lady”.

img1436ly.jpg

General Mung and his goons have come to investigate the mysterious events that have happened Jang Hui village and his steel factory. Apparently it’s the local river spirit known as the Painted Lady that has been acting up.

img1431t.jpg

The spirit is quite displeased, and is destroying a couple of the Firenation troops’ jet skis.

img1433x.jpg

Actually it’s not a spirit at all; it’s Katara who is using a local legend to help the village. While Katara can provide the water effects herself, Aang is helping out with some wind effects too underneath the boards.

img1438rh.jpg

General Mung and two homeland troops, a swordsman and a firebender.

img1439k.jpg

Katara in her disguise as the Painted Lady and two female homeland troops.

img1440w.jpg

And for good measure, a better look at one of the 3 jet ski I build. The jet ski does actually seat two, just like on the show.

And a little light experiment that I actually haven’t posted in the photo thread:

img1450p.jpg

Aunt Wu, the fortuneteller who lives in the Makapu Village, is about to tell this young boy about his future by putting a bone on the fire. Aang’s future is a lot more dramatic than she had expected.

img1466ro.jpg

A look at Aunt Wu’s room in broad daylight.

img1452no.jpg

An additional picture of Aunt Wu, and as a little bonus, her assistant Meng.

Posted

Time for some new stuff. Sorry, these things are probably a bit spoiler heavy for people who haven’t seen The Legend of Korra.

My brother and I have just finished this one:

zolt.gif

Lightning-bolt Zolt getting his bending taken away.

img1760rh.jpg

I made the Zolt figure a while ago when I dug out the plasma globe, but I couldn’t get the right kind of lightning effect with that for him. Still, I think I got some good use out of him.

And now for something with a bit more brick building.

img1723hm.jpg

Oh no! The poor watertribe family is about to be torn to shreds by a pack of wolves! This can’t end well…

img1732mb.jpg

…for the wolves!

img1728c.jpg

Bloodbending can make both man and animal bow to your will.

img1737ex.jpg

A close up of one of the pretty simple and blocky wolves.

img1739v.jpg

Tarrlok, his father Yakone and his brother Noatak.

Posted

I guess it’s time for the last of the things I have had up my sleeve.

img1465it.jpg

The Earthkingdom’s tank.

img1461my.jpg

This tank, which seems to take some inspiration from a pillbug, is powered by earthbending. While it is not as flexible as the counterpart on the show, I managed to give it a bit of flexibility both right and left, and up and down. The tank was inspired a bit by the train from 8404.

img1464r.jpg

The sides of the tank open. Teo is at the control sticks. The interior is very crammed, but the tank can hold a few passengers if their headgear isn’t too big.

img1467cy.jpg

A little battle scene based of the invasion from “Day of the Black Sun”, even if the watertribe warriors are missing their wolf armor.

img1470rm.jpg

Some of the participants of the invasion, the Mechanist, the Boulder, Big Bad Hippo, Bato and Hakoda.

img1471kp.jpg

A little close up of the tattoo on the Boulder’s back, and Bato’s burned arm.

And just for fun:

img1472z.jpg

Tank vs. Pillbug, who would win? My Shanix are on the pillbug.

Also a little watertribe family photo since I have made most of Katara’s and Sokka’s known family members.

img1668q.jpg

I have also made a mixture of regular pictures and light experiments from “The Crossroads of Desteny”:

img1479w.jpg

Both Katara and Zuko have been captured by Azula, and are now imprisoned in the crystal catacombs underneath the Earth King’s palace. Despite the fact that Zuko has been tormenting Katara and her friends for about half a year, she can’t help it and feels sorry for Zuko as he tells her about his tragic past.

After having rescued Katara, Aang had to fight off Azula and the Dai Li to escape. The battle wasn’t going very well…

img1481jo.jpg

Aang has encased himself in a ball of crystal as he is trying to get into the Avatar state. It seems to be working…

img1482fl.jpg

…But disaster strikes…

img1488wm.jpg

…Aang was killed by Azula’s lightning, everything is lost.

img1486c.jpg

Iroh allows himself to be captured so Katara can get away with Aang.

img1489p.jpg

And the usual shot of he figures in new clothes.

img1484w.jpg

Ba Sing Se has fallen…

img1491a.jpg

…so Kuei and Bosco are free to explore the world.

img1492tb.jpg

Riding of in to the ..uh.. backdrop.

img1490yj.jpg

A better look at Kuei and Aang’s back.

As usual I’m open for suggestions for improvements, and ideas for things to build.

Posted

Ok, let’s start this off with a slightly belated seasons greeting:

img1798p.jpg

Happy Halloween from the Melon Lord!

Other than that I have mostly been making figures this time.

img1801q.jpg

A few firesages. These maiden hats are pretty much perfect for them, but they are quite hard to come by.

img1794e.jpg

After having learned that the Firenation has banned dancing, Aang decides to hold a little rebellious dance party.

img1788f.jpg

Aang, or should that be Kuzon, is trying to teach On Ji a few dance moves.

img1792z.jpg

Katara isn’t too happy about this.

img1796ae.jpg

The various Firenation school children, among the On Ji. Also Wang Fire.

And now for something from the new series.

img1807ey.jpg

The Order of the White Lotus has been searching the new avatar for 4 years, and their search has led them to Senna and Tonraq’s humble home.

img1811f.jpg

Senna: Korra!

img1809iq.jpg

Korra makes quite an entrance as she bursts through the wall.

img1814he.jpg

Korra: I’m the avatar, you gotta deal with it!

img1817d.jpg

The Order of the White Lotus.

img1820h.jpg

Korra’s family: Tonraq, Senna and Korra herself. The figures are a bit anachronistic, and Senna’s hair is not the ideal piece. Also I have actually gone a little into real spoiler territory, as the clothes that Senna and Tonraq are wearing are from the character sheets from the second book. Personally I don’t find a wardrobe change like this, which is pretty much them just taking their coats of, to be a particularly heavy spoiler, also they might come in hand later.

Also I would like to hear some opinions on something:

img1803xu.jpg

I have tried to improve Ty Lee’s face a little, but I have also found most of a Hitomi figure from the Exo-force line.

img1804rm.jpg

I think the Hitomi head might work for Ty Lee, but the eyes are kind of the wrong color as they are greenish yellow instead of gray.

What do you think works better for Ty Lee?

It has been quite a while since I have last build anything from Avatar hasn’t it?Admittedly I have mostly made a few simple things this time:

img1896ty.jpg

Let’s start with a simple little family photo of the Beifong family. Lao the patriarch of the family, Toph who doesn’t look thrilled about this and her mother Poppy. Since I have made quite a few figures as time has gone, I thought it could be an idea to use some of them for some crowd shots once in a while.

img1882q.jpg

Quite a crowd has gathered to watch this Agni Kai.

img1887zi.jpg

Young Zuko is one of the participants. He is pretty sure that he will be able to beat the old general that he insulted during the war meeting.

img1889qk.jpg

Unfortunately for Zuko he was at the Fire Lord’s war meeting, so he is not facing general Bujing in the Agni Kai, but Fire Lord Ozai, his own father.

img1894kl.jpg

Zuko tries to beg for mercy, but Ozai sees this as an insult.

img1890m.jpg

Most of the audience is excited to see Zuko get punished, but not everyone.

And now for something different, with some attempts at some moody lighting:

img1905ta.jpg

Aang, Karara and Sokka are trying to stop the Firenation from conquering Ba Sing Se. The Firenation has made a gigantic mechanical drill to get though the great walls that surround the city. Team Avatar is trying to sabotage the drill from the inside.

img1911kk.jpg

Team Avatar has been spotted!

img1908wv.jpg

It’s the deadly ladies, Ty Lee, princess Azula and Mai.

img1920y.jpg

Fortunately for Team Avatar they are on another beam, so it’ll take the ladies a little time to get to them.

And now for something slightly spoilerish from Legend of Korra.

img1898n.jpg

Amon is the mysterious leader of the Equalists, but what is he hiding behind his mask?

img1900ms.jpg

Amon claims that a firebender killed his family and left him horribly scarred.

img1903l.jpg

But Amon is just another mask for the real man behind all this, Noatak.

That’s all for now, but as usual I’m always open for suggestions for improvement, and open for suggestions on what to build next.

Edited by Runamuck
Posted

Not bad. I really like Amon, but young Zuko looks too happy and girly to me. Nice Fire Nation crowd though. I had no idea you had made so many already! :oh3:

As for new ideas, I've always wanted to see a complete model of the Drill in micro-scale using the Power Miners drill pieces. Perhaps you could do it?

There are also several locations from LoK you could recreate.

Posted

It’s nice to hear that you like my version of Amon. It is kind of understandable that young Zuko looks a little odd. I originally just made the face for the scene with Ursa at the pond when Zuko was much younger, but I have been using it for him when he for some reason doesn’t have his iconic scar, like the vision with the dragons.

Unfortunately I can’t fulfill the request for a miniature drill. I do unfortunately not have any gray pieces for the actual drill, and it looks a little off in black. Also I don’t know how to make the actual body of the drill, all the ideas I have either have ugly gaps in the hull, are ridiculously fragile or do not fit well with the diameter of the drill pieces.

I do have some ideas for one Legend of Korra location, but I haven’t done anything to actually build it yet. I also have an idea for a special location from the old series, which I yet have to realize.

But I have also built something this time. On the other board I got a little request about a scene from the finale:

img1926cf.jpg

After being unmasked by Korra Amon, or should I say Noatak, decides to flee from Republic City. He hopes to start a new life somewhere else with his brother Tarrlok.

img1930z.jpg

Tarrlok though thinks that there is a different way to finally rid Republic City of Yakone’s legacy.

img1931c.jpg

It might be a bit cruel, but I couldn’t help myself, I had to build in an action feature to blow up the boat. Both the boat and the action feature are very heavily inspired by, and borrows more than a few pieces from the LEGO Indiana Jones set 7197 Venice channel chase.

Since I have set myself the goal to represent something from every episode of Avatar and Legend of Korra in LEGO form, and am quite close to that goal, I have also made something else:

img1935lo.jpg

Sokka has unfortunate gotten himself stuck in a hole in the ground while chasing a sabre-tooth moose lion cub, which he by the way sarcastically has named Foo Foo Cuddlypoops. Luckily for Sokka Aang has found him, but not even Aang can get him out of the hole.

img1936rd.jpg

Unfortunately for the two boys sabre-tooth moose lion mothers can be quite protective of their young ones.

img1938i.jpg

Aang has no other choice to take a stand against the moose lion. Luckily Aang’s determination pays of, and he saves himself and Sokka from the wild beast.

img1943uc.jpg

Someone has been watching them. Toph is quite impressed with Aang’s newfound determination, that trait will come in handy during their earthbending training.

As usual I'm open for constructive criticism.

Posted (edited)

Thanks for the comment about Appa. I built him a long time ago. I have some old pictures if you would like a better look at him.

http://img688.images...57/img0494h.jpg

http://img834.images...3/img0495cz.jpg

http://img846.images...6/img0496ye.jpg

http://img84.imagesh...2/img0497ry.jpg

I couldn’t find a way to make a miniature of the drill, but I do have an idea for Oky’s suggestion of locations from Republic City:img1981c.jpg

Many people have gathered in the city hall to witness a special trial.

img1985z.jpg

The man who is on trial today is the notorious crime boss Yakone. Among his many crimes is also the accusation of practicing the forbidden art of bloodbending. Despite the fact that bloodbending is thought to be impossible without the aid of the full moon, Yakone has been witnessed bloodbending people at all times except during nights with a full moon.

img1994j.jpg

The city council has agreed on a verdict: Guilty. One of the reasons for this verdict is that Sokka, who is representing of the southern Watertribe, has seen many weird forms of bending that were thought to be impossible.

img1990ah.jpg

Yakone’s reaction to the sentence is surprisingly calm; all he does is smile smugly.

img1995a.jpg

Yakone has a good reason to be smug. He is not just capable of bloodbending without a full moon; he is capable of bloodbending without any movement at all! All people in the room are squirming in agony as Yakone is using his psychic bloodbending on them all at once.

img2012g.jpg

Yakone even has the audacity to force police chief Toph Beifong to unlock his handcuffs. Despite her iron will, not even she can fight his bloodbending as she is being levitated towards him.

img2014k.jpg

Yakone is taking quite a lot of pleasure in the fact that even avatar Aang has been brought down to his knees by his powerful bloodbending.

img2018p.jpg

The city council of Republic City.

img2019zz.jpg

Yakone and the other participants in his trial.

img2021i.jpg

Avatar Aang and police chief Toph Beifong.

Edited by Runamuck
Posted (edited)

I guess I can’t just let Yakone get away, can I?

img2024h.jpg

Yakone prepared his escape, and had an ostrich horse cart waiting outside the city hall.

img2025j.jpg

Avatar Aang is though already on his heels; Yakone is not getting away that easily.

img2029bd.jpg

Yakone is determined to get away; even if that means that he has to break every bone in Aang’s body with his bloodbending.

img2034fe.jpg

Fortunately for Aang bloodbending is no match against the power of the avatar state.

img2036fk.jpg

Yakone must pay for his crimes…

img2039ng.jpg

…and the best ways to make him do so…

img2040kb.jpg

…is to take his bending away forever.

Speaking of the Avatar State:

img2048a.jpg

Many people in the Earthkingdom are searching for new ways to bring an end to the 100 year long war. Among these people is general Fong.

img2046x.jpg

General Fong wants to defeat the Firelord by unleashing the powers of the avatar state on him. To do so they must first find a way to trigger the avatar state. Fong does though find a way to unleash the power within Aang, by threatening Aang’s loved ones. It works well, a little too well.

On a different subject…

…I thought it was about time that I actually made Azula’s season 3 outfit.

On the other board I had a request for the hypothetical funerals of the members of team avatar, probably because if have built a lot of the darker moments of the shows. Since I’m not fond of going into speculation, I do not want to make any hypothetical funerals. But there was an actual funeral on the show, so…

Firelord Azulon has passed away at the age of 95 after having ruled the Firenation for 75 years.

img2056fe.jpg

Azulon passed away under mysterious circumstances, but he had enough time to give one last order.

img2057zk.jpg

The last order was that Ozai should be crowned as Firelord instead of Iroh.

img2059b.jpg

A better look at the fire sages and prince Firelord Ozai.

And since I’m a wee bit tired of hearing about me building dark stuff:

The ever unlucky cabbage merchant learns that customs aren’t very fond of cabbage slugs the hard way.

img2064by.jpg

The platypus bear on its own. I have actually wanted to build on of those for a while.

Also, with all the darkness, I think people might have overlooked a little joke I snuck into the pictures from inside the drill.

I had a couple of requests on the other board:

img2068yl.jpg

Aang is quite anxious to show his two new friends the many features southern airtemple. Among these features is the airball field. The field is very small and very simple because I didn’t have enough tan bits to make it bigger.

img2069br.jpg

While Sokka is trying his best, he stands no chance against Aang in this game. I couldn’t figure out a good way to make the center of the goal post able to spin, so I just made the whole top spin instead.

And the other request:

img2072vb.jpg

After Ozai declared himself Phoenix Lord he let Azula have the title of Fire Lord. Azula is being prepared for her coronation, but something is wrong…

img2076h.jpg

One of her servants is clearly trying to assassinate her by making her choke to death on a cherry pit! Azula has no other option than banishing the poor girl.

Later:

img2083qc.jpg

In Azula’s opinion everyone in the palace is trying to betray her with their incompetence, so they have all been banished. With no one left Azula has to do her hair herself, this clearly isn’t going too well.

img2085n.jpg

Ursa: What a shame, you always had such beautiful hair.

img2086f.jpg

In a fit of rage Azula throws a hairbrush against the hallucination in the mirror.

img2089ox.jpg

Azula is all alone now.

Let’s start with something I forgot last time.

img2106kr.jpg

The pictures of the new figures. Azula’s servants.

img2108ur.jpg

Azula and …uh… her mirror image.

I set myself the goal to make something from every episode of Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. I have actually reached that goal. Let’s have a little celebration picture for that.

img2091hw.jpg

The 100 year war has come to an end. Avatar Aang has mastered all the elements and Zuko has been crowned as Fire Lord.

img2092rq.jpg

Friends, family and allies have gathered to celebrate this glorious day.

img2097hg.jpg

How many can you recognize? The figure selection is a little random, as nothing but the front row was actually specified in the show.

img2103x.jpg

There are not many new figures, but Tho and Due are new additions. Huu is just in the picture to complete the look at the people from the Foggy Swamp Tribe.

img2104wz.jpg

The avatar and the Fire Lord.
