Power Function M motor dead (randomly)

I have a motor that some times, doesn't work.

After 2-3 tries, it works and do its job, but after 2-3 days, the same crap happens.

Now I have the same problem on the excavator. One motor is completly dead.

Anyone of you has the same problem?

Are you conecting it to a receiver,and if so does the green light come on?

I had a problem with one of my receiver's were the light would light up but fade.Lego sent me a new receiver free of charge.

I would just get in touch with lego customer service.

I tried connecting to the bb and to receiver with no changes :(

Have to tried puting axle into it and giving it a spin by hand?

You can use Nuno2500's "Repair of the PF M-Motor" tutorial (with pictures) to try a repair. Change the translation from the original Portuguese "to" your native language as needed.

I'll try with the axle like you said.

Contact problem?I don't think so. I tried moving cables with no results but after a while, the motor start and works as always. It's a very annoying problem.

Once I have a problem with bad contact. I corrected metal contacts with sharp instrument. Try:)

I think you have to change the wire. I had same problem with my xl-motor.
