Sir von Lego Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Hi, today I want to show you just a small hint of my actual building project: Boonta Eve Podrace, Episode 1. I began last November (2011) and I will display it the first time this year in November, Cologne at the LEGO Fanwelt 2012. So here are two short Teaser-Images of what you can expect: Tower with small part of the stadium behind: Part of the Arena: It isn't finished yet, so let me know what you think about it. Of course, there will be more "life" (minifigs, podracers etc.)... Thank you for looking and for your answers, greetings Hendrik Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 I like it very much. In particular, the amount and variety of minifigs is very fateful to the look of the people in the original scenes, and they add much life to the model. Podracers will look awesome with this. Will be looking forward for more pics! Thanks for sharing your great work! Quote
JackJonespaw Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Amazing! I love the cross of different themes in the audience! The viewing platform is great, too! Nice job, and I can't wait to see the rest! Quote
Bobskink Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 very cool, you really captured the spirit of the scene very well. I can almost hear the crowds. Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 This is looking very impressive! Everything looks so beautiful and the figures add to the fabulous details you’ve created with the stadium. Are you keeping track of how many pieces are going into it? Quote

The Blue Brick Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 This is looking great. I too love the variety of the mini figures in the stands. I love how you used the old skis as the roof or shades. The size of this project is enormous also, and really can't wait to see the rest. Quote

Sir von Lego Posted August 27, 2012 Author Posted August 27, 2012 Hi, just wanted to give you a short pictorial WIP of my Boonta Eve Stadium: I hope you like it, please excuse the bad quality of the image (but it was late and my iPhone obviously cannot take clear pictures in the dark..). greetings Hendrik Quote
The Blue Brick Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 One word. Phenomenal. It is so huge and all of that tan. Those mini figures also add a lot of excitement. Quote
Lobot Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 This is looking really impressive, well done! Is there much more to do before it's finished? Please can you add some more photos when you have time - I'm especially interested in how you constructed the circular part Quote
DarkKnight7 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Whoa! That is ridiculously immense, that had to take some crazy planning and collecting of materials...can't imagine the length of those instructions This is epic and very close to what I remember seeing in that scene in the movie! Keep it up and looking forward to the final product! Quote
