Starwars4J Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 View Brickshelf Gallery An amazing MOC of pirates (yes, PIRATES, phes!) invading a port town. VERY well done, and beautiful! (The day I'm outdone by Armada scum is the day I hang up my hook!) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 18, 2005 Governor Posted November 18, 2005 Ahhhhh finally! Someone has bothered to make a MOC depicting pirates pillaging peasants in seaside village. Upon closer inspect I must say the architecture looks very Spanish so perhaps this isn't such a good thing afterall! Quote
Norro Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 How will the Armarda respond?! I await an equally excellent MOC phes... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 18, 2005 Governor Posted November 18, 2005 Since I don't have a digital camera or space to build a suitable MOC you'll have to visit the The great Pirate LEGO War!!! thread to discover what the Inquistion does fictionally about this debacle. Quote
snefroe Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 i'm interested in these brown sails... they look good! :oD Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 18, 2005 Governor Posted November 18, 2005 Too bad there aren't some close ups of that ship, it looks like a completely custom job. Quote
snefroe Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Too bad there aren't some close ups of that ship, it looks like a completely custom job. i also would have loved a shipwreck of the pirates or the defenders with sharks swimming around it and some minifigs on a few wooden plates... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 18, 2005 Governor Posted November 18, 2005 That's a bit violent don't ya think? They're already facing enough hardship as it is! Quote
blueandwhite Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Looks like somebody found a great use for Yoda |-D ! I suspect that at least one Yoda sculpture has been used to create the beach. Nice MOC. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 23, 2005 Governor Posted November 23, 2005 Quick! Somebody put the Yoda sculpture in the what non pirate sets are useful for pirate MOCs or whatever that thread was called! Quote
Dreamweb Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Well the town is surely enormous and magnificent, however I must ask what all those modern-looking people are doing there (like those seen here)? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 21, 2006 Governor Posted May 21, 2006 Obviously they're time travellers who are quite amused at the pirate attack... Its probably looks like a theme park attraction to them! Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 i'm interested in these brown sails... they look good! :oD If you want some like that then use my tutorial! Which can be found in my sig. Quote
Captain Ironhook Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 oh this is such a good moc i could never build anything like this. i like how the creator has even made a beach because it is a detail that many pirate mocs seem to lack, but i have not seen many pirate mocs so i am not to sure of this Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 22, 2006 Governor Posted May 22, 2006 Whoever they are they've done a good job! Although this doesn't look like its set in the Caribbean to me, it looks more European, Mediterranean I'd say with those Roman/Greek looking architecture. I'm sure I've confessed to preferring Caribbean Pirates. Quote
Captain Ironhook Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 That was for some meeting, they are Pro's, I don't think one of us can make something like that. But like dreamweb said, the modern people.Time Travellers or MOCists who had bad grades for history? what do you mean they are pros because isnt pros short for prostitutes? i couldn't believe that a some prostitutes could make something nice as this. are the prostitutes the modern people? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 24, 2006 Governor Posted May 24, 2006 I think what Mr Tole means by "pros" is a group of professional builders have constructed this MOC, although I'm not entirely sure what one needs to do to be considered as a professional MOC builder or even if such a title exists. Mr Tole, what makes the builders of this MOC professionals? How did they acquire this title? Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 That is indeed a magnificent MOC, The little ship seems like a extended Imperial Trading post cutter with 2 masts and sails(a brig). Lots of pieces must be went in this, the details are great, and it could be possible that a yoda went in very well *yoda* look in this pic, those things look like palm trees! I never saw such an alternative for palm trees before! The standard lego palm trees are way to short compared to real ones, this man (or men perhaps) found a smart alternative for them Only one thing what I don't understand, why isn't there a fort to protect the beach? Quote
oo7 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Hmm, this is an old thread and I think this has been posted more recently also. There Quote
Berry Syedow Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 That town is slightly different, The roofs are differnt style, your link shows red plates and mine shows standard bricks and these peices for the peek. Pics that are more like the pic in the first post of this thread are here.and another picture in that folder shows WILD WEST NATIVE AMERICANS??? (In bad resoulution I might add) Ack, silly me! Of course nobody would collect that many tiles... :-P However, I still think the construction is too similar not to be the same MOC. There is also a teepee in the background of the town under attack while we see a group of Quote
JoeMI6 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Jeez... This is the sort of thing that makes me want a Pirate ship. It's seriously cool. Arguably I could never create something of this magnitude, but it just shows how the Pirate theme is crying out for a reissue. Quote
KAHUKA Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 *pirate* *pirate* *pirate* *pirate* This is one spectacular set i came across on google. Quote
