These two were built to race and play with for a future exhibition.

Each one uses suspension in front and rear, the rear uses the unimog portal axles bearings and ball joints (thank you Dluders), while the front independent suspesnion shares the same spring to keep things simple.

The rear also has a fake V 12 motor to keep the buggy interesting. The gear ratio is set, so the model isnt too slow, yet has enough torque for some offroading like books, etc...

Here's a short video of these two in action

The two Lego Power Functions buggies are very flexible! I'm glad that the Unimog Portal Axle pieces are useful for MOCs like these. If one had enough parts to build FOUR buggies, they could clamber all over each other by using the four available Power Functions channels! I'm going to build these when the Lego Digital Designer .lxf file is available.

Here's the LDD file:

LDD file

There are unimog portal parts, ball joints, PP tyres and front A arms missing. Also insert 2 5L beams in front between the A arms.

@ Zblj: Thanks for sharing your LDD .lxf file! Maybe the upcoming LDD 5.0 release will have the Unimog's unique items in the LDD Parts Pallette.
