Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 9, 2006 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 9, 2006 Found this ship on brickshelf: The main reason why I post it, is because I'm building a ship in the same color schema (Red and Black). Because I'm using the hull of my Schooner, I'm force to use the red. I'm very interested in your opinions. The rest of the pics can be found at http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=200172 B. Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Mr Bonaparte, you probarly didn't notice this ship here before? Because the creator has already posted it here, see the thread here You said that you are building a ship with the same colour scheme, can you give us some in progress pictures? and what is your schooner?? Thanks Mr Timber, i missed it indeed. Well, i took apart my Skull's Eye Schooner to make a MOC starting from the hull. I just started yesterday and i'm just trying out some colors. Will need to order some parts from BL too. I hope to post images of my progress on the forum to get some early feedback. However, I broke my camera yesterday... hope it gets fixed soon. B. Quote
Berry Syedow Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 In this thread, Mr Tiber created a MOC using the red hull, and a red color scheme. This might give you a better idea of what your MOC will eventually look like. IMO, a red hull doesn't force you to use a particular color scheme, rather it becomes necessary to stretch your creativity to develop more complex color schemes. Unless you lack bricks, Mr. Bonaparte... Quote

Unless you lack bricks, Mr. Bonaparte... Well, the hull of the Skulls Eye Schooner just contains some red: I like the ship of Mr. Timber, but I want to make the red less dominant in my design. I have a lot of bricks, but will eventually have to buy some special parts on BL... Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 That's the second time you call me mr timber, its mister Tiber!! *pirate* Quote

El Bucanero Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I'm also planning to build a ship with some red in the colour scheme, the Acheron. It has a red and black colour scheme, because there are no black hull pieces brown will be added too, but only for the hull. Sadly It will be fatal for the Unpredictable, I need the pieces of her and she will be destroyed....but I don't know when, maybe this week... maybe next year... Quote

I'm very interested in your opinions. How does your ship differ from the one at the top of this thread beyond the type of hull? That's the second time you call me mr timber, its mister Tiber!! *pirate* HAAA HAA HAA!!! Mr Timber, that's funny! I must remember to use that some time. Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Mr Bonaparte, I don't think you are forced too use red in it because of the red piece on the stern and bow sections, the SES wasn't very red, so why would you be forced to use red?? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 12, 2006 Governor Posted September 12, 2006 I was thinking... To reduce some of the jaggeredness facet bricks could be used... For example However these tend to be rare an expensive so that's probably not an option. Quote
El Bucanero Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Mr Bonaparte, can you please give us some pictures of this ship? WIP pictures are always fun to see! Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 12, 2006 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 12, 2006 Mr Bonaparte, can you please give us some pictures of this ship? WIP pictures are always fun to see! I hope to get a new digital camera in a few days. Then I will start a new topic where I will post at regular times some pictures of the WIP. My ship will be a lot different from the one in the picture. I'm working with 5 mid sections for the hull and I think the ship will have about 18 guns on the lower deck (9 on each side). The hull of the ship will be brown and the rest shall be black with one red line in it. The rest I'm figgering out while I build it. I don't have a complete picture in my head yet. Well, I don't put too much time pressure. It would be good if I can get it finished before the end of the year :-). I never destroy one of my creations when I build it so I want it to be really good. B. I was thinking... To reduce some of the jaggeredness facet bricks could be used...For example However these tend to be rare an expensive so that's probably not an option. Ah Mr. Phes, I'm planning to use the bricks that you suggested. I will buy some red and black ones on BL (as soon as I know howmuch I need). Quote

I might be a little slow, but have you got your new digital camera or created that new topic yet? If so do you suppose you could link this thread to the new thread so everyone can follow exactly what's going on? Quote

Mr. Bonaparte, why is it that you don't destroy your creations? Is it that you don't want your ideas for building techniques to be lost (In which case, have you considered recreating them on a brick program?) or is it the sentimental value? Quote
