efferman Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Thanks For the bonnet first i need the windshieldframe. Quote
efferman Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 and here it is 100_1230 von efferman auf Flickr when you take a closer look, you will see that iam running out of white number 3 connectors. has anyone a idea how can i make the windscreen wipers a little bit more thin? Quote
stefan_betula_pendula Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) Nice detail with the windscreen wipers! For my U400 I used a Bar 6L with Stop Ring with a diameter of ~3mm instead of the technic axle. Rigid hoses may also work. But as you I found no alternative to replace the connectors. efferman Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 thank you very much, i think i have some of them, but the question is in which colour? Quote
stefan_betula_pendula Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 When looking at the original black is closest, but why not using gray ones to distinguish between the brackets and the wiper blades. Quote
efferman Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 good idea, but these parts i have only in red. it seems i need to order at bricklink Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 The bars are in black 4 long Sabellights, 6 long with stop and 6,6 long with stop. BTW great looking cabin so far Quote
efferman Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) so, the bricklink order is paid and some work on the bonnet is done i think its uglyness is the same like the original edit: small update on the roof 100_1235 von efferman auf Flickr Edited June 1, 2014 by efferman Quote

efferman Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 for a guy in my german forum iam building a lowloader for wheeled loaders and i have to decide which type of ramp i use i prefer the first one because it fits better to the scale. what do you think? Quote
Pluto_MkII Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 The second one looks like it has more stiffness as the first one. I can't judge it from here. If the first one is stiff enough, I would take it, because it needs less parts than the second one and is a bit more compact than the second one. Quote
efferman Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 the second one is more massive, because it has a support which touches the ground. Quote
Pluto_MkII Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 But is this support necessary? Did you test it with the load of the target? Quote
efferman Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 now i have tested it and a support is neccessary Quote
timslegos Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 The second one is awesome! Great little mechanism there. tim Quote
efferman Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 (edited) it seems there is a favorite. so i have to make it more compact edit: here is the lxf file for the optimized version https://www.dropbox.com/s/pd6dlf79m8b0vjq/loading%20ramps.lxf Edited June 10, 2014 by efferman Quote
