davidmull Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Yeah, beacuse it was in time when lego was still affordable. But today we have PF and all you can get for 120 euro is crap like 8070 or 8053 (with motor). Is 8070 crap? Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Christmas next year is going to be disappointing in terms of lego,i was looking forward to this log transporter Quote

Meatman Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I thought the 8070 was a really unique and great model. I know I had fun building it and it looks great. Quote
legolijntje Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) Hi Guys, I didn't read the whole thread. Sorry for that. I've seen a picture of the "Holztransporter" today. But I didn't had a chance to make a photo. Sorry again. The front looks similar to front of 8285. Not exactly of course. But it's black too and the geometry is also like at 8285. The rest of the truck is similar to 8285 too. Instead of the tow arm, there is an crane and part for the wood like at the trailer of 8049. All in all I think, that there is two much space between the front and first axle of the rear part. And I've seen a new part on it. It's a new small turntable - based on a 24 tooth gear. The connection is like at the bigger turntables, but it's only space for one liftarm. long pins won't work there. Maybe there are axleholes?! Martin Maybe the new turnable is also used in the 9391 Tracked Crane. As you can see, it has a turn function, but it looks to small for a normal turnable Or maybe it's just a pin to turn. Alasdair Ryan Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) @ Alasdair Ryan: Christmas was early this year.... Very true Is it to early to make a topic on 2013 models? Edited September 16, 2011 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

It is controled by an 12 tooth double bevel gear in the wood transporter... Martin Quote
Pauger Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 This doesn't make sense to me. If the crane is operated by (2?)LA's, it must be relatively big. And I suppose these would be connected to the chassis via a transmission ring, but then that wouldn't fit inside such a small turntable? Quote
MMR1988 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Sorry, it's all I could remember. I hope my brain had not mixed it with other informations, I get on this day... Martin Quote

legolijntje Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) From TAFOL, a member of Lowlug. He found this on internet: 9390 €7,95 9391 €11,95 9394 €31,50 9395 €49,95 (numbers are links to pictures) The price for the quad is €15,95 at that shop, but no picture Do I see a new turnable in the new mini crane ? grohl Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Thank you. About the turntable - it can be an ordinary 24t gear. It is pretty easy to attach anything on top of it thanks to its pinholes. Quote
Anio Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Thank you. About the turntable - it can be an ordinary 24t gear. It is pretty easy to attach anything on top of it thanks to its pinholes. It cant. Cause on the pic, it actually works with a 12t bevel. So, it is indeed a new turntable. Thanks for the pics ! ;) Quote
andythenorth Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 The box art for the small tow truck has a nice witty little touch. The graphic designer was on good form that day Quote
Jim Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Is it me, or is that tow truck just plain ugly? Maybe it's not that exciting, but I do like the looks of the plane though Quote
grohl Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 It cant. Cause on the pic, it actually works with a 12t bevel. So, it is indeed a new turntable. Thanks for the pics ! ;) I did not spot it for the first time. Thanks Anio Quote

Thanks for the pics ! ;) I had to take a real close look, but then I noticed the black 12t bevel gear. And you can see a "1x3 thick liftarm" (or something) connected to the gear, so it indeed does seem to be a new turntable Edit: it does look more like two axle connectors. dikkie klijn Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Maybe an old-style deferential is also possible? Quote
Anio Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Maybe an old-style deferential is also possible? No, it is not an old diff, but something similar. From the photo, I guess it is a 24t gear, with 2 2L liftarms, or something like that _ _ |O| |O| |O| |O| IIIIIIIII Quote
Pauger Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Anything else than 28 teeth makes no sense to me. Seems like there is something grey on the top of the gear, which suggest that it is a turntable. Still hope it isn't though, a 28 teeth double bevel would make it possible with new combinations.
