dikkie klijn Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 My next creation, a small and fast Scania racer. Powered by a RC motor and return to center steering. The model is quite front heavy, leaving the rear wheels with less grip as usual. This gives a nice effect when driving on a smooth surface. A video of the moc will be launched in about 2 or 3 weeks. P4trickvH Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I really like the design, but i looks to me that some proportions aren't really correct. But thats just my view, overall it really looks amazing. Any video's comming to see this beauty in action ? Quote

Superkalle Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Yeah, I agree - longer wheelbase is what is needed to put it back into proportions. The wheels are a bit large too, but with longer wheelsbase they may blend in better. Look forward to the video Quote
Lasse D Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I like how the wheels are large, pulling attention towards them, which indicates that this is a racer. And you get lots of points for choosing the modern Scania chassis and not the old one which is much easier to build. Looking forward to that video. Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Good looking truck. I;d love to see it drive in your upcoming video. Compliments. Quote
Dutch_EE Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Nice racing truck. The only thing missing for me, is the fake engine sticking out behind the cab. (like the Technic racing truck). The scaling isn't that bad, but 5 studs extra length would help. Does it have opening doors or a tilting cab? Quote
dikkie klijn Posted July 5, 2011 Author Posted July 5, 2011 No the doors can't open including a tilted cab. Due to design problems and otherwise weak structures these functions were left out. And about the scale, I started with a chassis that could have become anything just wanted it to be as fast and small as possible. I chose those wheels since they perfectly fit into the RC motor so I wouldn't need gears for that, front wheels are the same size for easy constructing. The medium motor for steering is about 2 or 3 studs higher the the front tires so I chose to build a truck to hide that motor. Otherwise there would have been a bump on the hood. Quote
timslegos Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Very nice video! I love the drivers view! tim Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Fast and good looking. What more could you ask for Quote
unimog123 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 That looks really cool. And it's pretty fast as well. Quote
Junpei Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Phew. Is it really still 2011? Great model, I missed this and it's very cool! I wonder how he got negative camber on the front axle though.... TLH Quote
