Cammo Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I bought myself some new lego sets since the early nineties. I was at a rather old toyshop today and they sold the BrickBeard's Bounty for 80 EUR (approx. $ 113). It was the last one. I was wondering if I should buy the set or not. Is the set rare these days? The box seemed in mint condition so... It looks neat but I was only intended to buy the licensed PotC sets. Quote
Big Cam Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Since this is not directly related to the review, I'll move this to it's own thread. Quote
Big Cam Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 You may have noticed I moved your post out of the 3 year old review you bumped. Please don't bump old threads unless you have something to add to the discussion, since this is totally separate from review discussion, I have it, it's own thread which will soon be merged with the main "should, I buy this thread". Anyway, that price would be a very fair deal for that set, given how old it is. Bricklink is a great place to get an idea of what a set is currently selling for on the private market. As you can see here.. $113 is right on par with the lower priced sets for sale, so you could still buy one for roughly the same price if you wish. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 80 is ok, I guess they are hard to find nowadays. They were at about 65 euro's last time I saw them. Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I think the price is OK. I just ordered this set from BL for 75€ since I couldn't find it anywhere else. But Postage costs bring it up to about 90 ... Quote
Cammo Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 Ok, thank you for the information guys. I will notify if I bought the piece or not. The shop is closed today -_-" And sorry for reviving that old thread again. As I mentioned before I'm new here. Quote
