JaxPop Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Hello everyone, This is my first post here and I have a question for the experts..... I recently introduced Technic to my son and we just finished our first model: The 8043 Motorized Excavator. For the most part the model works fine. I'm having a few of the same problems as some others have had like the gears not switching all the way from digging functions to driving functions. I've see the modifications for that by changing the gear set up and I plan to do that in the near future. My question though has to do with the right track (the side that the IR receivers are mounted on). It seems slightly under powered but more importantly it does not "engage" or start rotating instantly like the left side does. Is this normal? There is a slight delay before the right track begins to rotate forward or backward. I am by no means an expert on gear boxes or anything but I was thinking it might have to do with the red part from step # 28 on page 71, from instruction booklet #1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time! -G Quote
