An image of the next wave of BAM has finally surfaced.  Looks like the Cockatoo will be in the mix.

Where from? IG? Reddit?

I assume it’s the same colour etc?

Yes, it's the same one as the CMF

Please post a photo or link when possible, these pictures are fair game as the BAM figures have been found in store:

A close up of the Redbeard 2x3 tile:

I have no idea what is happening in the image, is that smoke?

Interesting things of note:

Apart from the Cockatoo from CMF S27 the  backwards hat is the same as the longboarder.

The leg with cast are mid legs if it wasn't obvious

The rosy, freckled cheeks, braces head is from the CMF S22 Girl with Foal and has since been reused in other holiday/promo sets. All the heads look to me to be from existing sets.

Coral beanie is from Friends.

I love the magenta chili costume recolour but nothing else about him is new.

I probably shouldn't have bought so many S27 Pirate Quartermasters.

BAM is a money blackhole, so many new parts in 4 months.

I like the pirate tile and the mid-legs with cast. The cockatoo is nice, and I will definitely get more, but part of me wishes it were a different colour.

But otherwise, not so much. Nothing really that exciting.

There are parts of some of these that I'm interested in getting but no single complete figure is wowing me.  If I find them I'll be getting a few of the Cockatoo.  Probably will also get the whole bunny with overalls.  I don't get why of all the colors they chose Magenta for the Chili Pepper.  That isn't a color I've ever seen a pepper come in in the real world, Green, Orange or Yellow would have made more sense.  The Pirate tile is nice so I will likely try to get a few of that one.  Pirate torso is interesting.

I do agree. Although there are purple chilis out there and they do look a bit more magenta. Majority are just ornamentals and I'm sure they're edible but I have not tasted them.

Are the wings the same as the cmf bumblebee girl?

It appears so. A thought it was bit random to bring back trans clear wings from 2013, they must be in a current Disney set that I'm not familiar with. Well close, they're in 21342 Ideas The Insect Collection. Although BAM introduced a brand new trans light blue glitter recolour in 2024

Question about the black martial arts gi. It's new right? My first impression was it's another Ninjago torso reused in BAM like this one. But I was probably thinking of this this.

Then I saw the tiger on on the back and as a companion piece it makes me think of Cobra Kai in the same way S20 Martial Arts Boy is 'inspired by' Daniel LaRusso.

Found the new BAM (including the doctor torso, reddish orange brick costume, magenta chilli costume, bumblebee torso and that cockatoo type bird) at the Chermside Lego store. Anyone in Australia looking for it, hit up.your local store.

Pictures of June BAM have leaked.  Mostly Dreamzzz including the Light Blue Spaceman Torso & Legs.  Also a new Color Pirate Torso, looks to possibly be Reddish-Orange.

The last few waves haven't particularly excited me, but I think all of these look great and I will get all of them. Maybe two of the classic space and another skirt or two in red.

Is the blue werewolf/monster supposed to be anything specific?

Blue werewolf guy is from Dreamzzz

I'm not really into the Dreamzz stuff but there are definitely a few parts in this batch that I'll try to get.  Will be grabbing a few of the Pirate torso as well as the dual molded legs they are showing with it.  I'll probably grab a few hair pieces, the Werewolf Legs, maybe a couple of the other torsos & some of the Spaceman parts and some of the accessories.

I'm getting a bit weary of these chase classic space figures, to be honest, and how much of a deluge we're now getting.

These dark and light blue ones only available through BAM, again to cobble together with different hands and helmets and airtanks coming later in sets (and much later than that on PaB) - plus two more variants releasing at the same time in the prize machine.... it's tiring at this point.

I'm personally lucky I was in the US at the right time to get a couple of the dark blue ones, and there were torsos available with dark blue hands at the same time. The $20 AUD price here in Australia is not good value at all, and yet I should still feel lucky we even have Certified Stores with BAM at all!

I feel like the desirable exclusive part recolours they were doing for BAM have also dried up to a large extent, with them instead just focusing on things like prints or costume figure recolours. I suppose those are very popular, but not to me - recoloured hairpieces and animals are far more interesting for my collection.

So it's really going to feel like spending $20 to get a few torsos, and a bunch of other stuff I could take or leave.

Call me a stick-in-the-mud, but the only Classic Space figures I want are red, white, yellow, and maaaybe blue. Well, ok, I do like the pink ones too. But I don't have any personal interest in collecting every new color of Classic Space figure. (I wouldn't mind light bluish gray though.)

What about black? :distressed:

I hear that. I do like my five green ones and it felt great to complete them with the helmets after so long. I'm this far in and have them all so far (besides the light gray / light bluish gray which I personally don't count), but the more LEGO does annoying releases for them, the more likely I am to stop. Having so many blue variants also doesn't actually interest me. I'd like something whacky like a flesh tone.

I rather like keeping black for Blacktron, so that they stand out as being a different faction when near the other figures.

I agree that making it so difficult to get figures is frustrating. I'm personally fine with just white and red as they work well with the classic space ship colour schemes, but there's also something nice about a kaleidoscope of colours for the figures, in the same way that monochrome figures look neat. All together in a scene might look overly fussy though.

It's definitely irritating that a bunch of the pieces are BAM exclusive, making it really hard for many to get hold of.

The fact that Lego is doing this means that there enough fans out there willing to go the distance of hunting these down.

Also, the fact that they decided on producing two Space colors (and two Castle factions) after the vote means they are confident that even the second place winners will be well-received.

It would be great to have a framed collection of all these Space figs a la monochrome figs.

This conversation has been had before in other chase figure contexts (Comic Con exclusives for instance), but fans' behaviour and willingness to collect these doesn't excuse crappy and consumer unfriendly tactics on the part of a big profitable company.

I'm not asking that LEGO hands out every new colour as a $5 CMF by any means. I have no problem at all with them coming in an expensive set like the prize machine, knowing that they will make their way to PaB too (which is also not cheap by any means, especially with high fee-free thresholds and $15 shipping here in Australia).

I don't think I'd even totally mind the torso with correct arms and hands coming in one set, and the helmet and tanks coming in another later, or vice versa.

But to put a variant in a $30+ book (orange, intially), and even worse to drip feed them into the much less accessible BAM without even the right colour hands, strikes me as a dog move.

Hard agree re the spacemen ‘bits’. It’s like a very expensive and unfulfilling scavenger hunt at fans’ expense. Looks to me like the inconsistencies with the ‘brick suits’ (re hands and some coloured legs) are heading that way for something folk have been encouraged to collect too. Add to that the inconsistency with how the BAM figures are made available by stores … and 🤪
