Zerobricks Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) After my succesfull supercar I wanted to try build something bigger and more functional. I decided to use the largest lego wheels and combine them with pneumatic suspension to make a kind of sports SUV. The end car has the next features: 4x4 drive with 3 differentials 5+R gearbox X 24 engine Adjustable pneumatic suspesnion Motorized compressor with a regulator Servo steering using a worm Four seats, the front two are adjustable The whole bodywork can be lifted using 2 LA's to show the interrior As they say pictures are worth a thousand words: And to top things off, here's a video: All in all I think this is the biggest and most functional supercar to date. DLuders Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 WOW, this is really special! The side-to-side adjustable ride height is unusual. I like the X24 engine and the big Technic Turntable steering wheel too. Is your MOC a model of a Mitsubishi SUV? Quote
Cheng Fei Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Congratulations on your Ultra Car! As always...I admire your chasis building techniques. Pneumatic suspension is a plus! Building big always requires a balance between structural stability and weight distribution. You balanced that pretty well. Quote
Meatman Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Wow! that is massive! Great Work! I must have missed your successful supercar. Do you have a link for it? Quote
teflon Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I was wondering where you are hiding. It's huge, if I see correctly over 55 cm in length. Is there any hidden purpose for usage of pneumatic suspension? I am thinking about lowrider and possible PF remote control. This would be really crazy, especially with elevating bodywork. Great work. Zerobricks Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 Wow! that is massive! Great Work! I must have missed your successful supercar. Do you have a link for it? Here it is: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=43685&st=0&p=767087&hl=supercar&fromsearch=1entry767087 @teflon I decided to try penumatic suspension simply because I never tryed it before. I think that the suspension controls would be quite eaay to motorize too. Quote
Plastic Nurak Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) This one beats #8070 at least for 5-0. PS Have you too used heavily the pieces of that failure called #8041 Race Truck for your MOC, as I'm doing with my s... a-hem medium car ? Edited April 28, 2011 by Plastic Nurak Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Great car 'Zblj' Very nice wok on its functions. The suspension is top notch Quote

bricky300 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) Do I am wrong or is there a diff with two 24-tooth gears in the middle? Edited May 1, 2011 by Rico Geller Quote
Milan Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Do I am wrong or is there a diff with two 24-tooth gears in the middle? You are wrong. That is ordinary diff, and above it there are few other gears, so it looks like there are two 24t. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Very well done, I love the opening / lifting top feature. Paul Quote
Stank Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Freakin' PRO! Suspension is awesome! Are there some flaws? If there aren't major ones it is... T H E___B E S T Quote
grohl Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Very well done, I love the opening / lifting top feature. Paul Same for me and the front grille is amazing as well. Quote
Roodaksta Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Nice MOC. nicely detailed on the bottom and the interior. The hood of the car is well made with that small slope. Quote
