henxel Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 What do you think about it? This is my first LDD project and loved it. the twisting and turning of every part was a challenge! the model isn't the exact copy...the yellow almost is. but the blue 8421 model is pimped. Every thing is build from scratch and put a lot of hours into it. I'm always open for tipt and tricks! Greetz Henxel And you can find the lxf and more pictures here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/251796 Can I also post the lxf file here? otherwise you can download it from my mocpage under building instructions at the bottom. I'm really curious what you experts think of it... Quote
henxel Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 As i'm new here, I experience a couple of difficulties: 1. When i click my profle, I'm not permitted..?!?! 2. Can't upload the LXF File and how do i index then? 3. Isn't there a normal page without clicking 6 times before getting in the index? Thanx Quote
Zerobricks Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 You have not enough posts to see your profile. To atatch and LXF file, zip it, or upload it on a sharing site like brickshelf. Do you also have a original 8421 version without the gadgets etc.? Quote
Superkalle Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Hi Welcome to the LDD forum. I see you did some updates to your post based on Zblj's advise. Good. Regarding your model, I think you did a really good job, specially if this was your first build. Yes, LDD can be tricky at times, specially to put bricks in at an odd angle etc, but personally think the easy-of-use overweighs. And besides, LDD is evolving with each version, so I can only guess we'll see more and more cool features. One issue with your model is that you've used the incorrect colors in many places. Refere to the Peeron color chart to use the right color for the right brick. I can also recommend that you use LDD Manager to verify the bricks you've used. You can read more about this and other tools in the Index topic. Quote
DLuders Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) @ Henxel: Whoa, this was a lot of work! I downloaded your 8421 Technic Crane Truck LDD .lxf file from your MOCpages entry, and there were 4 bricks that were improperly placed and removed from the model. Nevertheless, good job! The blue, white, and red color scheme looks a bit garish. I wonder what it would look like in ORANGE, like the upcoming (2H2011) Lego Technic Unimog U400 Set 8110 will be? You can look at your Eurobricks profile, send Private Messages (PMs), etc. once you have at least 10 posts in the Eurobricks Forums. Edited February 8, 2011 by DLuders Quote
