Governor Mister Phes Posted January 28, 2007 Governor Posted January 28, 2007 The auction hasn't ended yet and its already US $82.24 which is far too much considering I owe money to other eBay sellers, but not because I cannot afford to pay them, because they are allowing me time to win several auctions in order to combine postage. US $82.24 is is $106.501 of my local currency which is quite expensive. Then there's the shipping fee, which will add another $20 to the price. So from the perspective of a student without full time employment reconsidering thoughts wouldn't be advisable at present. The seller claims that the set was only available as a promotional set in the US in 1995. I happen to have a European copy of the set of the same era. How does the European version differ to the US version? I was told that these sets had been available through a cookie factory or cookie distributor in The Netherlands. Was this back in 1995 or more recently? Quote

I think it was somewhere around 1995 - 1997 or so, can not recall since I did not collect Lego back then. I have been told about it, that's all. I do not know this from personal experiences. Quote
simonwillems Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 How does the European version differ to the US version? Was this back in 1995 or more recently? I now vaguely recall this set being sold in Dutch toystores, together with the cookies I think it was back in 1995. I saw it back then, didn't like the design of the set that much and the fact that you 'd have to eat all those cookies of a sort I didn't like, so for considerable reasons I left it right on the shelf..... :'-( I would love to own it now, but I'll pass this auction because of the high price, shipping rates, customs and so on. One day I hope to fill it with box art from every set from every country so if you'd like contribute just let me know... Quote
