legolijntje Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Hello, I saw this error in LEGO's 8053 animation: Quote
legolijntje Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Is this a not connected LA? I don't think so. For example; the arm is up, but the LA is down. Edited January 11, 2011 by legolijntje Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Yeah I already spotted the same error few months back. Quote
imajor Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Another one is in the animation of the 8052, it seems that when the container is tilted (first phase, so not when it is detached), the rod below the container behaves like when it is detaching the contrainer. I don't have the set, so I'm not sure about it. Sorry for the bad english. Quote
Out of Sight Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Yea..somebody needs to address this issue to Lego. Although not a real big deal, I also observed the animation of the 8043. The boom, dipper and buckets are magically moved by invisible hands. The gears on the top are not even moving Quote
freakwave Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 May be TLC should use the SR3D builder to animate their models! Quote
Blakbird Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 May be TLC should use the SR3D builder to animate their models! Actually, that is a good point. TLG uses Maya for instructions, renders, and animations (I've been told). So all of the animated parameters need to be set by the animator. If the animator forgets to tell any of the components how to move, they won't. SR3D is a kinematic package, so all connected parts move together automatically. Doesn't make the same quality renders though... Quote
fred67 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Maya has kinematics, it's just not automatic. Quote
