DLuders Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) On his Flickr photostream, Steven Marshall ("steven1980" on Brickshelf) posted these four images of a 1980 Seat 131 car. The amount of detail is excellent for a Lego car of that scale, and the cutaway view shows how the model's interior is constructed. The same pictures appear on steven1980's Brickshelf gallery. grepin Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 This is quite impressive! I especially like how he used swords for the windscreen wiper Quote
legolijntje Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 What a detailed car! At the first glance at the first picture, I thought it was the real car and not the LEGO version. I like how he made the "wheel hats". Quote
Plastic Nurak Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Seat 131 or Fiat 131 (Italians and Spanishes will understand) ? Awesome, a good model car . Quote
DLuders Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 On his Brickshelf gallery, steven1980 had built Arvo's Seat 131 also: Quote
Bricksonwheels Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) Good work, and it is clearly inspired by the Arvo's, but not exactly the same. Judging from his folder Steven is a pretty talented guy himself! Edited December 24, 2010 by Bricksonwheels Quote
Milan Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Very nice model, smaller scale, so some details are not as good as on bigger brother, but still beautiful! Quote
DLuders Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 Steven Marshall added three more "cutaway" views on his Flickr photoset: Quote
Sam42 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I love stephen's work, his mini's are ace. But I've gotta say I think at least some of these are renders rather than photos, still an epic moc though, whatever they are..... Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 They are all renders IMO, because there is no way front wheels steer with its current suspesnion. Good job none the less! Quote
Sam42 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I checked the his photostream (well worth a look!) after my last post, they are. However, the effort it must have taken to construct such a beautiful and complex model using cad software and then render and process it to such a high standard may actually eclipse the work it would take to build this from real bricks......
