GuiliuG Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Hello everybody ! I'm happy to present you my new model : a fully functionnal JCB wheel loader. Here is the real wheel loader which inspired me a little : And here is my lego model : It's principaly built with studless because i haven't a lot of studfull. So the back of the vehicule is not very beautiful =/ The truck is totaly controlled by pfs. It owns : -A xl which controls the propulsion with 8T/24T-12T/20T-20T/28T -A M which controls the steering ( articulated) with 16T/16T/16T-linear clutch-12T/20T-worm gear/8T-12T/rack -A M which controls the arm with 20T/clutch-12T/20T-universal joint-16T/16T [16T/16T-12T/20T/12T ] for each La] -A M which controls the bucket with 20T/clutch-12T/20T-universal joint-16T/16T-12T/20T/12T -Pendular rear axle -Opening doors To put on the battery box, you've just to remove a pin with bush and to (raise?) a beam I took 20houres to build it and it weights 1kg600. Here is the video : I hope you like and i'm open to all comments. In the end, here is my brickshelf galery for aditionnal pictures : My link Sorry for my english mistakes =/ Quote
DLuders Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I like it! The rear of your model looks close to the rounded shape of the real thing: Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Looks great! Good job making the body so realistic with just studless pieces. 20 hours to build is pretty quick too! This would have probably taken me at least twice that long. Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) Very good way of using new panels! Isnt it a bit slow? I think you used a bit too much gearing, especially for driving. And it looks very simillar to 8265 (three u joints through articulation point. etc) Edited December 20, 2010 by Zblj Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 very good i do think the bucket should be closer (its a bit far away) Quote
GuiliuG Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) Thanks ! Yes the bucket should be closer ! Now i think i can close it because i have had small bent beam with 8069. The propulsion is slow not to have the front wheel lifting. Edited December 20, 2010 by GuiliuG Quote
grohl Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I like it a lot. The rear part looks awesome. The speed is ok to me. It is not a racing wheel loader Quote
Milan Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Nice, I would have prefer that it is built in studfull, but I like how you did it in studless. Speed is ok to me. Overall, pretty good MOC! Quote
Out of Sight Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 @GuiliuG and all Sorry, I'm a Technic noobs..can anybody tell me what Lego part is that in the middle of the wheel? Looks like a hub cap but does a GREAT job mimicking the real thing and gives a nice look as well. Thanks Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Looks like a normal 4x4 dish to me. Quote
Out of Sight Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I see. Thanks By the way are those wheels the same as the ones that come with the 8265 loaders. Pardon me for asking this unnecessary question. Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 They are bigger, like ones in 8297. Quote
LegOscar Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 It looks nice and moves smoothly, great job! Quote
