DLuders Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Nico71/ Nico71240 posted a of his newest creation, a red Lego Roadster. He has not yet added it to his other great Lego Technic vehicles on his website http://www.nico71.fr/ , but he did present it on SeTechnic (see the French-to-English Babelfish translation). He wrote that it is the "Finished version of my roadster, features suspension, gearbox 5 and R, AWD mid engine, doors, convertible [top], trunk, removable spoiler, HOG [Hand of God] and wheel steering, using the new panel." There are 22 images of the roadster on his Brickshelf gallery. Quote
Meatman Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) Wow! What a great model and packed with so many working features. I love everything about this design from the opening doors to pop up spoiler and especially the convertible top. You can tell that this model was not rushed and was very well thought out. The wait was definitely worth it! The studless transmission change over plate was a very clever design as well as it makes everything line up properly and just pops on and off. That trick of his will definitely help out the amature builders like myself who have struggled in the past with attempting to build supercars like the Pros Great Job Nico71!!! Can't wait to see what awesome creation that you come up with next! Edited December 2, 2010 by Meatman Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 The transmission plate idea is worth stealing! I just understand why doesnt he present the model on his own? Quote
Meatman Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 The transmission plate idea is worth stealing! I just understand why doesnt he present the model on his own? I would like to know more about this model myself and if he ever plans on making instructions for it. I thought that he said in a thread over the summer that he was going to start a thread for this great model. Perhaps he still isn't finished with it? Quote
TechnicJuan Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 The transmission plate idea is worth stealing! I just understand why doesnt he present the model on his own? I am pretty sure that the designer "Borrowed" many ideas for this model from some other builders. Quote
DLuders Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 I would like to know more about this model myself and if he ever plans on making instructions for it. At the end of his YouTube video, it says "Building Instructions Coming Soon"! Quote

Jurgen Krooshoop Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I like this model a lot. And it shows that Power Functions are not neccesary to make a cool model. Great job Nico71 !! Quote
