GuiliuG Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) Hello everybody ! Today, i'm happy to show you my new truck trial which is the best that i have ever made ! The design is inspired from jovel's TT but it's just inspired ^^. My truck is built with pendular suspension. It's really performant ! You can see some other pictures on my folder : Brickshelf gallery And the videos : Next time i will put my videos together ! The videos show the first version of the MOC: But the performances of the second version are exactly the same, the designs has just changed. I think that this TT is able to compete with the best Truck ( from nico71,zblj,jovel,...) I hope you like and i'm open to any comments. Sorry if there are some mistakes but my english is bad =/ Edited November 27, 2010 by GuiliuG Quote
m4rc1n Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Looks nice :) It has nice ground clearence too :) Do you know how much does it weight? What is the gear ratio? One more thing: it would be quite nice, if you'd write some specifications, like weight, ratio, engines, and so on :) Quote
GuiliuG Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Actually i prefer not to write a lot to reduce my mistakes^^ So, it weights 1kg173g in its first version, with the second version it has to weight 20-30g less. It's powered by an Xl motor with the reductions 16T/16T/16T-12T/20T-12T/20T-8T/24T. All the reductions are in the axles to reduce the tilt effect. The direction has an ackerman effect, is powered by a M motor with the reductions 8T/clutch-12T/20T-12T/20T-12/rack The hood can also be opened as the first version to reveal the M motor. Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Looking good! Nice use of turntables too. Can you make it a bit faster? Quote
GuiliuG Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) Yes, i can change easily a reduction 12T/20T by 16T/16T but personnally i find it's a good compromise between speed and torque @Jovel : if you read this topic and find i copy your truck trial, i'm ok to replace "inspired" by "copied" Edited November 27, 2010 by GuiliuG Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 The red and black is great! The suspension is amazing! Quote
allanp Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Great model, but one thing i've always wondered. Why is it that many of these trucks use those wheels? Their dimentions are good but the tyres don't have much grip. I find the power puller tyres have much more grip. Quote
yoraish Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Great model, but one thing i've always wondered. Why is it that many of these trucks use those wheels? Their dimentions are good but the tyres don't have much grip. I find the power puller tyres have much more grip. I think the reason is because the power puller wheels are much more rare and not everybody have them... Quote
GuiliuG Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 Exactly Yoraish ! I'm only seventeen and haven't enough money to buy all the models ^^ Quote
Anio Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 The power puller tyres are much too heavy for most of TT. Quote
allanp Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Exactly Yoraish !I'm only seventeen and haven't enough money to buy all the models ^^ Ah, fair enough! The power puller tyres are much too heavy for most of TT. Naaaaaaah! Quote

GuiliuG Posted December 11, 2010 Author Posted December 11, 2010 I have finally found the time to finish the notice : Notice Some pictures are dark because my camera is bad and it's winter. If you want to build it and have some problems, tell me where you block ! If you build it, please tell me what you think of the truck. Quote
