DLuders Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Lesley Hisgen (hisgen01) just posted this of "A Lego technic F1 racecar wth power functions. Remote driving, steering and shifting between two gears! Two motors to drive the rear wheels through a 2-gear-transmission, controlled by the remote controller. The steering mechanism is based on a return-to-centre principle that allows the steeringmotor to keep on turning while the wheels are in a maximum steering position. The transmission is sprayed with an anti-friction-oil, to make sure it spins smouth."The Lego Speed Computer shows the car doing 10.35 kph in the parking lot! Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Wonderfull design. The video shows well how the model is built-up, which is much appreciated Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Nice one with a lot of speed. I love the transmission the most, but steering is great too. Love it that the steering motor keeps spinning and is not stopped by anything, this way the power of the battery box is all for the driving motors... In my opinion the movie holds to many pictures but I love it anyway... Quote
apemax Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 really good design. looks really good too. Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Its great, but I think without tranmission he might get even better results, as RC motors have plenty of torque. Quote
Milan Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Great speed. Transmission is good, too. Quote
