GuiliuG Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 (edited) Hello everybody ! Today i show you my new Moc : a xerion 4500. He's totaly manual. The gallery of the moc with all the pictures : My link And the video : Edited October 17, 2010 by GuiliuG Quote
allanp Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 That looks like it could be an official set, I like the steering mechanism most (works great on a telehandler or monster truck) and the powered sttering wheel is a nice touch (one that I miss from modern sets). Quote
GuiliuG Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 It's not my idea, i have taken the method on this moc : My link Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I love the rotatable cocpit! Is there any way possible to squeeze a PF motor in there? Would be great! Quote
DLuders Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Nice MOC! I like the "joystick" control on the back. The model looks like the real thing (from Clup4x4.com): Quote
Sam42 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Nice moc! I like the xerion and your build is a great model of it.. Quote
Jetro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Nice MOC! I especially like the rotating cabin and the functional steering wheel inside it. Quote
Milan Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Nice MOC It looks and function good. Maybe it would benefit from the bigger tires. Quote
GuiliuG Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Thank you everybody ! I have made a notice of my moc : My link If you build it, please let me know ! Quote
bord4kop Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Nice one! I realy like the realism, technical state (possibilties?) and compactness very much! (English is not my natural speech :) ) Quote
dolittle Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Thank you everybody ! I have made a notice of my moc : My link If you build it, please let me know ! I started to build it, and then I found out I was missing some elements :) Mainly the Technic Differential with One Gear 28 Tooth Bevel I have only one, and your model needs two Quote
GuiliuG Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 You can use only one diff, it's not a problem for the fake engine ;-) When you finish to build it, please take a picture and post it here Quote
dolittle Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 You can use only one diff, it's not a problem for the fake engine ;-) When you finish to build it, please take a picture and post it here So it would mean that the steering is done on only one end, front wheels (for example)? Thanks, Noam Quote
GuiliuG Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 i think that i don't understand exactly what you mean Do you speak about steering or propulsion? The propulsion is done by the central axle, but if you connect this axle only on one side, it will be still drive. I hope i answer to your question. Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 (edited) Cool Moc ! That is a very nice way to implement the multiple steering-systems which is present in these types of machines. And it's actually good to see a non-PF Technic MOC for a change (yes, I'm guilty of making PF-Moc's as well ;-) ). Edited October 7, 2010 by Jurgen Krooshoop Quote
phool Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I think I saw this posted on setechnic as well. I'm seriously loving this, it is very cute It has the look of an official set and the steering mechanism is very slick When life chills down a bit I may get down and dirty and try build it :) Quote
GuiliuG Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 I often build with pfs, but this time i wanted a little change And yes, i have posted it on setechnic because my first language is the french ;-) Quote
dolittle Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I often build with pfs, but this time i wanted a little change And yes, i have posted it on setechnic because my first language is the french ;-) Hi, I tried building your set today, I had a lot of difficulties understanding how the wheel frame (the bottom part where the wheels connect) is configured, especially how you used these: And how the frame that holds the wheels is connected to the mid section. More photos would be appreciated. Quote
GuiliuG Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 Ah ok, i understand what you try to do. In fact, for the first version i tried to integrate free suspensions, using the pieces you show. But it was to complex for this small model, so i prefered to build a second version, without free suspensions. So if you want to build the model, you had better to look at the notice : Notice Quote

Thanks, Noam Quote
GuiliuG Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) Do you see the second page ? : You must start with the second page and after go back to the first ;-) Edited October 8, 2010 by GuiliuG Quote
dolittle Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Do you see the second page ? : You must start with the second page and after go back to the first ;-) Oh, that is confusing :) Second page is after first page :) not before... Thanks for the tip. Quote
grohl Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Nice MOC. I really like the way you dealt with the steering mechanism. The rotating cabin is also a nice idea. Quote
efferman Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 the rotating Cabin is a original feature of the xerion. (Minute 3.44) Quote
