roamingstop Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Got mail from LDD guys - the problem should be solved. Can anyone confirm? Ok last 3 times Ive logged in, with Universe mode as default, the page shows 'Lego Digital Designer', 'An Error Has Occured'... 'Click here for previous page'. Clicking Previous page takes me to DbM... (which was my previous page). I no longer see Universe Mode (home page) and dont get the errors - so I can continue in Universe mode (Yippeee). Thanks Superkalle and importantly the LDD Team. (Oh and those asking about Internet Explorer - I dont ever knowingly use it, switched to firefox etc a long time ago). Quote
RohanBeckett Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I've had a quick search, but can't find anything... Is there a way to force LDD into Offline mode? I'm installing it on computers at schools, that I work in... and Students use an authenticated proxy for Internet Access. LDD can't traverse an authed proxy (doesn't prompt for credentials like browsers do), so it just gives an ugly offline error at the start. Would be nice to disable this completely! Does anyone know if there's an Offline=1 line, or something I can add to the preferences.ini? At least I can turn on Universe mode, so kids get access to ALL bricks! :) RB Quote

RohanBeckett Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Did you try blocking it in the firewall? It can't get out anyway... I'm just trying to get rid of the 'error' message that pops up when it can't connect: Especially since the dialog is sorta confusing to kids... if you hit 'cancel', the program quits! And retry is useless... if the program can't access the internet at launch... hitting retry 5 times ain't gonna magically make it work! ;) RB Quote
Cadder Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Got mail from LDD guys - the problem should be solved. Can anyone confirm? Nope. mine still not working this afternoon. Doesn't matter what you hit, [Yes], [No] or [x]. LDD won't advance or close. Edited September 22, 2010 by Cadder Quote
