Zerobricks Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 So for the challenge I decided to make a quadtrac. All track drive is powered by an XL motor through a 2 speed gearbox. When the tool arm is lifted, the tractor drives in high gear and the PTO is turned off. But when the tool arm is lowered, the gearbox shifts in low gear for max torque for tracks and PTO. The tractor is articulated and all the tracks have movable bogies. Quadtrac in early stages. Notice the gearbox. The cutter tool changes into a trailer. The tool arm double acts as a trailer hichup. Here its unlocked: When lowered it locks the trailer, so it cannot detach: On the underside you can see the two M motors for steering and tool arm raising. Video: Quote
